Situated centrally within Mounts Bay, this camping, caravan and motorhome site is without exaggeration just 5 minutes walk from an 'ocean drive' (or walk) along a promenade or take the sandy beach, and always within view and very close proximity to St Michaels Mount, a virtual jewel in the West Cornwall crown. The owners (Gordon & Val) will always stop to talk when asked. This is not a highly commercialised site, facilities are adequate and the site is landscaped with all those plants that will not grow elsewhere in the UK. There is plenty of shade when required and the plots are sizeable.
The site's central West Cornwall location cannot be bettered in terms of long, sandy beach, perfect for swimming and where a stream forms a pool close to the site and opposite a nature reserve. It has perfect access to surfing and body boarding beaches (Praa Sands possibly one of the best just 10 minutes drive away). An evening's stroll (around 8-10 minutes) will take you into Marazion which is directly opposite St Michaels Mount. In the opposite direction about the same distance, along the coast is Jordans cafe & vehicle stop, renowned for the numerous VW campers and the like that will take an overnight stay enjoying the sound of the breaking sea. The extensive Mounts Bay and all that it holds within. Any map of Cornwall or indeed on any map of the UK you will be able to discern the shape of an inverted cupped hand which gives the predominant coastal feature of Mounts Bay. Within the bay and central is Marazion, St Michaels Mount and Dove Meadows Caravan & Campsite. To the east there are numerous coves and bays which includes Praa Sands and many others and extends to the Eastern extremity of the most southerly point in mainland UK, Lizard Point. To the west the coast sweeps round and includes Penzance, Newlyn, MouseHole, the Minack Theatre hewn from the rock of the cliff face, and again many other coves and bays as the bay sweeps towards Lands End and the beautiful Sennen Cove. Plus beautiful St Ives, just 10 miles away.

(Somewhat tongue in cheek directions as such but it's all possible) Buy a map, drive, or catch a train or coach to Penzance and catch the open top bus, visit the site, bathe in the warmth of this unsurpassable location and friendly people and away from the maddening crowds.
