Welcome to Gorsebank Camping Village, located in the Galloway Hills between Dalbeattie Forest and the Solway coastline. We are a great base to explore the stunning Dumfries & Galloway countryside.
Set on an 80 acre equestrian estate, our camping village offers a variety of camping options.
1. Wild Camping tent pitches
2. Heated timber camping cabins for all year round comfortable camping.
3. Glamping Bothy - posh camping barn with a few more comforts
Our 'Wild Camping' pitches on set on a secluded ridge overlooking farmland and forest. You can unload your car approx 10-25mtrs from your pitch, car parking is then 30-45mtrs from your tent. A small price to pay for being located in such a beautiful spot.
Wild Camping is open April to end of September.
We do not have electric hook up points.
We have three types of Camping Cabins at Gorsebank
Wigwams - Sleep up to 5, heated, lights, power, fridge, kettle microwave
Jumbo Pods - Sleep 4/5 Heated, lights, power point, fridge, kettle
Timber Tents - Sleep 2 (or 1 adult & 2 kids)basic cabins but still heated, light and power point..
Split into 2 units one of which sleeps 6 the other sleeps 10.
Each have their own kitchen, lounge area with TV, log burning stove and free WiFi.
You have your own outside area with patio seating, BBQ and firepit.

We are situated only 300mtrs from forest cycle tracks - including the Dalbeattie 7 Stanes mountain bike trails.
We have onsite bike hire, secure cycle store and wash down facility.
Two coarse fishing ponds with bait and tackle hire available onsite. One trout pool suitable for bait fishing.
Beaches and the dramatic Solway coastline is only 2 miles away, closest village is picture postcard Kippford. Set on the estuary of the river Urr it has pubs, cafe, marina and lifeboat station. Boast and jet ski can be launched from here.
Great attractions for children and families, including ice cream factories, chocolate centre, swimming pools, wildlife park.
Super walking routes from strenuous hills to gentle coastal paths. The Galloway forest park, distillery and smokehouses are all within easy reach.

14 miles SW Dumfries - 8 miles SE Castle Douglas
We are approx 2 hrs from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle & Preston.
