The Mitchell family of Trevellas Manor Farm have been welcoming campers to their campsite, overlooking the sea, since 1927. The large field, with pitches sited around the perimeter, is kept mown short, giving plenty of room in the middle for recreation. There are beautiful views of the sea, St Agnes Beacon and surrounding countryside. Free showers, toilets, washing up facilities, a chemical toilet emptying point and a freezer for ice packs are situated by the farm house, which is across a quiet single track lane from the field. Recycling is encouraged with regularly emptied bins. The pitches are large, some are with and some without electric hook up. Booking is recommended, particularly if a hook up is required during school holidays. Situated close to the coastal footpath, there are many walks, straight from the site , both coastal and in the surrounding countryside. It is a 10 minute walk down to Trevellas Porth which has a small beach and extensive rock pools at low tide. The site is situated on the coast half way between St Agnes and Perranporth (both are about 2.5 miles by road) or you can reach each along the beautiful coastal path, St Agnes (30mins) and Perranporth (1hr).
Nearby Attractions
Both St Agnes and Perranporth offer a good range of local shops and amenities, family friendly pubs and eating places, surf schools and local museums-not to mention lovely beaches! Bike hire and horse riding are available locally. The cathedral city of Truro is 8 miles away and can be reached by local bus or car. Major attractions such as The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Helligan, The Maritime Museum and numerous National Trust properties are less than an hour away by car
Directions
From Perranporth take the B3285 up St Georges Hill in the direction of St Agnes. Pass the St Georges Hotel on left, Perranporth airfield on right. Follow road to Trevellas, phone box and post box on the left, followed by a ‘S hand bend. Fork right off the left hand bend, sign posted for Crosscombe. Follow road 0.25 miles, straight on at Zion House sign posted Crosscombe. After 0.25 miles see Trevellas Manor Farm Campsite straight ahead. (IGNORE SAT NAV IF IT TELLS YOU TO TURN RIGHT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE CAMPSITE.)
