The hamlet of Austen Fen is situated 7 miles east of Louth. Halfway between the villages of Yarburgh and Grainthorpe, on the Louth Canal.

Canal Farm is situated half way along the 12 mile length of the Louth Canal, with a footpath alongside and a pub offering bar meals at each end - so ideal for leisurely walks. Along with our lake it offers guests opportunities to fish.

Only 7 miles from Louth, a quaint Georgian town with an abundance of traditional food shops and voted Britains favourite market town. The "Hairy Bikers" declared it to be a great Foodie Centre!

Explore the nearby coastal nature reserves with miles of sandy beaches, dunes and marshes. Donna Nook has one of the UK's largest and most accessible colonies of Grey Seals - this is only 5 miles from Canal Farm.

The seaside resorts of Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe are a short drive away, and Lincoln with it's spectacular cathedral and castle is a popular day trip. Canal Farm is only 45 minutes away from Hull - City of Culture 2017 - already
