Heading NORTH on the A515 towards Buxton, find Rivendale's entrance drive about 7 miles North of Ashbourne on the RHS. The access is wide and gently sloping.
The site may be accessed by bike - go by train to Cromford station near Matlock and cycle up the High Peak Trail to the junction at Parsley Hay, turn left (heading south for about 3 miles) and see Rivendales entrance approx. 100m from the trail.
The Peak District offers a diverse variety of attractions provide entertainment even if the weather is poor - Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Gullivers Kingdom and the other attractions at Matlock, the National Tram Museum, Arkwright's World Heritage site in the Derwent Valley are all about a 20-30 minute drive away. Picturesque local villages within walking distance-such as Tissington and Hartington have great traditions such as Well-dressings, Morris Dancing and fine pubs. Outdoor activities such as coarse/game fishing, pony trekking, sailing, caving, climbing,pot-holing available.
