Just returned from two weeks at Northam Farm. The glorious weather was a bonus to an excellent holiday there. Easy to find from the M5.
On arrival, welcomed by staff in reception and shown to our pitch facing the fishing lake. Very obliging staff, offered to help move the caravan into best position to view the lake.
Showers and loos very good - even at the busiest times. Always clean and tidy. Showers cost 50p.
Pitches for disabled near to loos - just a mention that showers have a step (no handrail) which could be tricky for anyone with mobility problems. Huge laundrette. Caravan sales of new and second hand vans. All pitches are a good size.
Big camp but divided fields making it feel smaller. Nice doggy walks around the lake. Fishing good, from what I was told.
Family entertainment at The Seagull club just off the camp site, so no rowdy music to disturb campers late at night - drinks average price. One down side, we had a takeaway from the camp chippy, £12 for fish and chips for two, which were dry and unimpressive. Good meals at The Palace above shops opposite Pontins and The Seagull. Cornish pasties from the bakery beneath The Palace very tasty.
Further up the road cars can access the beach and park all day for £2. Cafe on the beach and ice cream van up and down the beach all day. Nice walk from the beach to an old fort which can be reached by steps or a slope up the hillside. All NT, from the top views of Brean Downs from one side and Weston Super Mare from the other - shame about the fire at the pier.
Without exception we found all the staff friendly and helpful and I'd recommend this site. Like many other people we spoke to - we'll be back.

This site is the best! We have stayed there twice now and considering it's an hour down the road we consider it to be the best. It is such a clean friendly place.
We have a 4 year old and staying on the No dog pitch with the playground is ideal. We have been guided to our pitch and the guys have been very obliging in getting us as close to the playground as possible.
The shower blocks and toilets are spotless, they even have toddler toilets.
Fish and Chips are gorgeous and the shop is reasonably priced.
The reception staff provide a very warm welcome.
The surrounding entertainment outside of the site is great for teenagers etc. We just want a quiet time when we visit so therefore have not tried the Seagull pub.
It's a very relaxing place and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2008. Brean - in case you weren't sure, is a sort of Pontins style resort with multiple caravan parks along the coast road (both sides) stretching for a mile or more. It's little more than a village between Weston Super Mare and Burnham on Sea. Although there is a Pontins here, the main cabaret type complex is the Seagull, which seems to book the better acts, and offers better dining and bar facilities than most. Be warned - it's very child friendly, with kiddy games and acts. Most nights you'd need a strimmer to get through the midget hordes to get to the bar ! Northam Farm is joint owned, as are others, by the Seagull. It's a fair stroll back after a night out, more so if you're camped in one of the rear fields but all the quieter for it. The shower blocks seemed almost brand new and were very high standard. The initial part of the site had power hook-up and many static type plots. We stayed in a small dog free field far top left. There are amentity blocks near reception with a restaurant / fish & chip shop / supermarket / toilets / reception etc. All in all good value for money and would heartily recommend the site. The weather was predictably pants for the Bank Hol. But we arrived on the Thursday night and left on the Sunday and didn't suffer too badly. It was absolutely rammed with families come the weekend, so avoid Friday to Sunday to miss the crowds. The holiday camp type cabaret wasn't really our thing but we were with friends and had a laugh all the same. It's very popular with both the Welsh and Midlanders - because of the easy motorway links I would guess.

This is a cracking site and because of the way its split in to different areas it does not feel like a big site. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The sites shop was good and prices seemed fair. The on site takeaway was also very good having a good selection on the menu to choose from, prices again good and food fine. We were shown to our pitch by 1 of the staff good size pitch hard-standing and level with a good view on to the lake.
We used only 1 of the many toilet/shower blocks and found this to be very clean and tidy every time. The showers are great and well worth the 50p, temperature just right. Pressure good.
The kiddies play areas seemed fine although we did not use them.
Walking to leisure park takes about 10 to 15mins and if you like rides there looked to be some good ones.
We went to The Seagull Inn on the Saturday night of the Bank Holiday weekend, it was very busy, we ordered our food which was ok but the wait was too long. Said we would go back during the week but didn't as we had found The Palace pub and restaurant(above the shops opposite Pontins) very nice place and food excellent ate there 3 evenings faultless.
Over all we ( 2 adults and 2 kids) had a great time and would go back. Although we felt the fishing could have been better as not a lot seemed to get caught.

We have just come back from northam farm, have been going there for afew years, lovely site, lots of hardstandings all level for caravans,,there are large places for tents. We stay on the waterside pitches and premier pitches , next to the large fishing lakes, it si so peaceful there and lovely place for watching all the 'feather' birds ! lots breeding this time of year and wander around freely,
Nice dog walks on site, or walk to the beach, its outside the main entrance and straight across the road there in minutes, or if you want to take the car you can further down take the car on the beach.
A excellent place to visit and walk is drive to brean down right at the bottom of the hill and walk up lots of steps and out to the old fort, its all free and excellent walk see for miles on a clear day. All part of national trust and well worth a visit even with a pushchair its accessible.
During the summer close by there are mamouth markets.
We love this site very clean and dog friendly, and staff are all friendly, toilets were clean for females but hubby says you get a few people, who just leave the loos absolutely disgusting(hope there own loos at home not like that) but the staff clean the toilets twice a day and we have never had any problems,One negative is the windows are always open in the showers(well until I get there! then I shut them as its a bit draughty when drying yourself!
We love the site as its quiet and use it as a place where you dont need to spend much money if you dont want to, just walking or chilling out watching the ducks and rabbits and the world go by. Or off site a pool and seagull club, which does sell lovely food, a ice cream man does come on site every night and well worth trying his delicious specials
Recommend to anyone, and if you want to come back for a couple of week ends one after the other, they will store your van on the grass for 3.00 per night, its safe never seen any problems and you find that fellow campers and caravaners keep an eye on your van while they holiday and you go home.

We visited Northam Farm last year for my Birthday in our old TT. Spent 10 days there, and on the whole I have to agree with all of the reviews. Very friendly staff, huge well kept site, plenty of space between units for awning / windbreaks etc. We werent escorted to a pitch as some have said (We have visited twice and it has never happened) but we had no problem finding one and settling down.
Always found the showers to be warm, however, for 50p I would expect them to be cleaner (towards the end of the day they tended to be quite dirty) and the fact that the windows are contastly open means you have a breeze round your bits when getting dry!
We found the Seagull a bit OTT and tacky for us - but it would be excellent for kids. We found a lovely pub called 'The Place' above the parade of shops opposite Pontins. Excellent food, brilliant staff and really nice atmosphere.
We also found that 10 days in Brean a little repetetive - again, if you have kids they will love it, but for us it became a bit tedious.
