First visited this site 22y ears ago and have to say should be getting discount for all the recommendations we have made to our friends since then. The site itself has not changed much and that is what we like about it The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, from reception to the take away -there is a very polite young man there (with blonde hair). John still does a great disco, even after all these years. The craft centre is a great addition. Also we loved the decking that has been added onto the outside of the bar.
There is a five year plan pinned up in reception and once all the improvements are made it will be a super place.
Only gripe would have to be the state of the main toilet block near Great Orchard, it really needs to be refurbished. Also we do not like taking our dishes into the toilet block.
But apart from that we love the site and would not want it to change too much, just enough to make it an even better place to have a great holiday.

Just back from our 2nd camping trip and what a great site we found! I called to book but was told no need as we didn't require electric hook up and they had plenty ofspace. Wecould choose from available pitches.
The facilities were great, thepool really washeated, and the showers and toilets were clean and plenty of them! The shop is well stocked and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a great disco that the kids (ok me as well) loved.
There was plenty of play areas for the kids to enjoy. They have a new craft room this year where you can paint pottery or get your hair braided or the kids can paint and colour! A really nice touch.
The owners clearly want to provide the best for people who stay on their site. We stayed 7 nights and would have stayed longer had the sun still been shining!
Thebeach at Goodrington Sands was well worth a visit as was Paignton Zoo. We will definitely visit this site again.

Just visited site for first time, had a great holiday and the site is an excellent base for lots of local attractions, especially for young families. The site has great facilities, bar for adults with live music& smoke free childrens area's, amusements& kids disco etc, all very good. Outside pool is very warm & has life guard, also plenty of kids playarea's etc.
Only downside to the site is most pitches are on a hill, and standard of cleaning to the toilets is very poor, the main block is a 1970's affair and does not look like it has been spent on since then, also the facilities for washing dishes are in the toilets!
There are also newer smaller toilets around the site, and although these are cleaned the young attendants never once mopped the floors. Overall a great site let down by lack of cleanliness to the toilets which were dirtier then every public toilet the the area.

We have just returned from the best Holiday we have ever had and it is mainly thanks to this superb park.

We were greeted by a cheary young lady behind reception and we were then showed to our pitch.Great views over thehills andgood to watch twobirds of prey daily catching their food.

Bit of a walk down the hill to the shower block and a Little caravan with toiletsvery close to thetents.

Well stocked shop with ice pack hire and cafe which does an amazing full breakfast. One bar upstairs and next to that is a family area and then int another bar which had a disco every night.

Very nice heated pool with sun loungers around itwith the Cafe also doing takeaways.

Thisplace is the best.(we think soanyway)

I visited this site based upon the numerous and positive reviews on ukcampsites. On looking at their campsite web page and brochure, I was encouraged by the beautiful pictures depicting the site. The reality on arriving however convinced me that they had got their moneys worth in terms of the pictures taken for both the web site and brochure; a large part of the site appearing to be overshadowed by an imposing electricity pylon and cables not apparent in the pictures (although I would expect no site to fixate on this as part of their marketing campaign!)

I had also decided to stay here based upon the owners declaring the swimming pool to remain open (albeit unheated) immediately after the Easter holidays (we can stand the cold). On arrival however, we were told that there was a technical problem with the pool and that it would remain closed (which although no fault of their own, was still very disappointing to us). It must however be said that the site does not advertise the pool open for this period, and our being able to use it would have simply been a bonus.

The weather was generally poor during our stay, which I think blighted my experience of the site, although the resident ducks (who enjoyed our bread) appeared to thrive on it (nice to see them)! Well drained pitches and easy pegging, although a lot of pitches were on heavily sloping areas (be sure to specify your requirements). A relatively quiet road borders the site.

The toilets and showers were second to none, as was the advice given by the helpful owners (thank you to the young lady who reccomended the indian takeaway in Torquay, as the meal was excellent). We did not visit the bar or shop (there is a Sainsburys nearby), so cannot comment on these.

I cannot criticise this site in any way (although neither can I sum up anything particularly outstanding to recommend about it). Personally, I felt that the site had a desolate feel during our off-peak visit, which I believe would not prevail at busier periods. The site offers very reasonable rates of stay, and should not be discounted on the basis of my honest impression (which lies in stark contrast to prior reviews).
