Just returned from harford park (unfortunately early due to illness)We booked for 2 wks manged 10 nights! This is a beautiful site, very well maintained and clean. We camped along the river at pitch 24 which was lovely, shade in morning, sun in afternoon. If you want sun all day choose the middle pitch area near the toilets/shower facilities, this is also better accesss to the loos etc! We had quite a trek to the building from our tent so we drove up!Weather was wet & husband has walking difficulty so that worked well. Also the water tap wasn't in the river field as we thought from the map, it was up further in next field. The river is spectacular but very cold! We did manage a refreshing paddle off the small 'beach'. Impressed with washing facilities, good amount of toilets & showers, only had to queue once, cleaned daily at designated time. 2 Washing machines, 2 driers, spin drier & iron(pay for tokens at reception). Indoor & outdoor washing up, free freezer for cool pack freezing. Free hairdryers/shaver point and a plug for tongs etc. New wet rooms this year ideal if you have kids as you can all go in together. Nice playground for kids and plenty off grass areas for them to play/ride bikes/play ball. Beautiful surrounding area, but quite a drive to get to attractions which we found most of were very kid orientated (we didn't have any kids!) Wouldnt recommend Hidden Valley at Launceston. Plenty of places to eat in local town of Tavistock, also loads of history everywhere. Morwhellan Quay, an old restored copper mining village, with a train that takes you into the old mine was good. Only downside to our holiday was the weather, only 2 days of sun!Lots of rain!Would definitely recommend the Harford site. But don't book if you don't like dogs, its dog friendly and there were lots of them!

Had a fantastic week at Harford Bridge, facilities were excellent always clean and tidy even with young children you had the choice of family rooms which are a really good idea. Lovely site with plenty of space between each pitch.

Tavistock has a really good market which on a rainy day is all under cover, with plenty of areas to get a coffee.

Will go back later in the year.

I had stayed at Harford Bridge several years ago and remembered it was a good one. This time I took two of my grandkids, aged 7 and 10. I'm really glad I chose it again, it's ideally located for the lovely market town of Tavistock. It's rare I give anything 10 out of 10 but the people that run this site certainly deserve it, they're friendly, very accommodating, the site is clean and well maintained. We were located near the play area which meant I could see the kids playing from the tent, and also safely visit the amenities. Great place, great owners, just wished we'd stayed a bit longer! I will certainly return.

We stayed there for three nights in late July 2015 in tents. Although we had rainy weather all along, we had a very good time exploring Dartmoor. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the facilities are first class. The pitch we were proposed though we had not booked in advance was ideal with a hook-up and water tap just near by, which was extremely convenient. The toilets were spotlessly clean and the showers with constant hot water ( maybe a bit too scalding for my liking). Being able to regulate the temperature could be a good idea, though. There are a lot of activities to do around shine or rain, and as for rain we had more than our share. So, it was convenient to have free access to the TV/ library room and the game room. We really had an enjoyable stay in a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and we found it to be good value for money on the whole.

Have had a number of lovely trips to this beautiful site, but this one was exceptional! Gathering of campers to celebrate my brothers 50th and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Wonderful weekend of games, food, music and dancing - riverside field reserved for the party and other campers commenting on the fun we had the next day (not that we were too loud)! Due to go again at the end of August and really looking forward to it - the site is well positioned, quiet, the facilities are even better this year and it is a pleasure to stay there.

We have just spent the Bank Holiday weekend at Harford Bridge by Tavistock Devon using our Motorhome. The site is on the outskirts of Tavistock in a place called Peter Tavy.

Its the sites 30th anniversary and they have just spent what appears to be a lot of money updating and renewing facilities. The site is peaceful and has all the facilities needed for camping. They also have holiday homes, a cottage and a shepherds hut available to rent. They have their own ducks and chickens who provide eggs to purchase from the camp shop. The shop has basic essentials and they can also provide freshly baked croissants, baguettes as well as cream teas which can be pre-ordered on a daily basis. The site is both child and dog friendly (it even has a doggy shower) without being over commercialised. The tariff is quite reasonable.

There is salmon fishing just up the road from the site and horse riding.

Tavistock town centre is about 5-10minutes to drive to and it has a variety of shops with an indoor market that has a few outdoor stalls too.

Tavistock is steeped in history and is on the edge of Dartmoor which is beautiful with its wildlife and ponies. Definately a site to visit.
