Beautiful site in a stunning location with spotless facilities and very friendly staff. We stayed for 2 nights and would have stayed longer if we could. I have to say a little more about the cleanliness of the shower/wash/toilets, rarely have I seen facilities this well cared for, a real credit to the staff. One tip for for an easy life, take rock pegs with you as the ground is very stony.

We, a family of four, two adults and two teenagers, stayed for three nights in August. The location is excellent for peace and tranquillity. The views are beautiful. Shops are a drive away in the village of Drymen or further away in Balloch but the campsite shop is well supplied with basic camping essentials.

The facilities are clean, well kept and plentiful so no queuing despite the site being very busy. Showers well supplied with hot water but are push button operated and on a short timer so needed to be operated frequently.

On arrival the site does seem a little off-putting as there is a card operated barrier and there are several rules; however the site is in a very busy and popular area and on reflection the rules do make sense and support a very peaceful atmosphere on the site.

The pitch we had was under trees and so the ground was hard, full of tree roots and rocks. We needed steel pegs.

This site was the most expensive one we'd used in our short tour of Scotland, between 4 and 7 per night more than the others.

We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable few days here and would go back.

Stayed here for the Commonwealth Games as it looked like a lovely site within commuting distance of the Games venues. On arrival the staff were friendly and seemed to be efficient however we were very frustrated by the pitch system or rather a lack of one! twice we chose a pitch and twice we were told it was reserved, despite there being no signs to let us know, this after an 8 hour drive and combined with 27'c heat was rather annoying! Eventually we found a pitch and everything went well. This is an absolutely stunning site, the location is literally on the banks of the Loch which does draw in the midges but that's a small price to pay. It was obviously an exceptionally busy time with the majority of visitors coming for the Games, in spite of this the facilities were clean and well managed.

Our main and only gripe was that the staff refused to allow any concessions for the games with regards to vehicle entry on the site past 10. 30pm. Evening sessions finish at 10pm and with Glasgow being at least an hour away we, and many others, fell foul of the rule. We had to literally dump our car in the entrance gateway as the car park was full and so was every other available space. The site is on a dangerous road with no parking so we had no choice, we felt it would have been far safer to allow the gates to stay open just for the Games.

Had a fabulous few days here. Fantastic site. Views stupendous. We had a pitch on the loch side which was so beautiful. Glorious weather too - went for a swim in the loch to cool off.

On arrival we were swamped with rules, but all made sense really, after that we were left to do our own thing. We asked about having a picnic table and were told to take one ourselves from an unoccupied pitch. It was lovely sitting out there. Until the midges came at dusk. I have honestly never seen so many. Buzzing in my ears, eyes, up nose, despite deet and citronella candles. The only option was to retreat indoors.

Toilet and shower were lovely and clean, though quite a walk from our pitch. My fault as I did ask for a remote pitch. There was a 2nd shower block in our field but it was out of order.

No pub or shops nearby so fully self catering. The site shop does have a good range but no alcohol.

Great area for walking and water sports. Launch areas if you took your own boat.

This site is expensive, but well worth it. If just for the views and the peace and quiet.

We have only been caravan ing for a year, this is by far the best place we have stayed.

This is a lovely spacious site on the shores of Loch Lomond. Spectacular views We have visited several times. The managers are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble at any hour. The toilet block is spotless, only negative would be that the showers are those push button ones so you forever pressing to keep water flowing. There is a shop with a few groceries and freshly baked bread, they will bake to order which is great for fresh baguettes. There range of camping/caravan goods for if you've forgotten anything. Dog friendly with plenty of places to walk your dog off site.

There are 2 pubs a few miles in each direction, Balmaha and Rowardennan hotel. Both with good food.
