We stayed here for 2 weeks(2adults and 3 children aged between 9 and 13).The weather was dreadful, but it didn't stop us getting out and about. This campsite is a bit like the Haven sites although better. We were pitched on the bottom field {woodlands Glade)This was by far the best area to pitch, it was level and had good drainage and not overcrowded, although the camp was full, the pitches were very generous. The toilet block was ok clean, and in good working order, perhaps a little dated but served the purpose.

The swimming pools were very good and stayed open until 9 oclock. The sauna and steam rooms were an added bonus!

We didn't really rate the clubhouse it was very noisy, you couldn't hear each other and if you didn't get there early there was no where to sit.

However we used to go to The Inn on The Queys adjacent to Goodrington beach most nights. We can highly recommend it for good food ,good ale and children's entertainment

Goodrington beach was ok (although the beaches in Cornwall are much better).Paighton Zoo is a good day out so is Woodlands theme park.We also did the Steam train and Ferry to Dartmouth which was also a good day out.

Torquey,Paignton were ok, but we went further up the coast to Tiegnmouth which was very nice as was Dawlish.

If we were to go back to that area we would use this camp again.

First visit to site and were on the lower field. The showers were old but of very good design and layout with perfect water temperature and pressure.

The entertainment was excellent (far better than Haven) with an experienced professional entertainment team. The cabaret was good although it was acts starting out. The layout of the club and amusements was good, if not a little confusing.

The swimming pools were excellent and all areas were clean.

Would visit again.

We were pitched in the top field of this site, and the ground was very uneven, had difficulty levelling caravan initially but had help from site.

Top field conveniently located for shop, laundrette and clubhouse / pool etc. However was told by reception that the top pitching field of this site will be statics only from next year!

Entertainment good, especially for children, nice to see the teenagers accommodated with a separate chill out area of the site. Park, swimming pool and facilities nice and clean. Staff were always polite and helpful.

Shower block could do with an upgrade of as the water output was poor in the shower, but toilets nice and clean.

Site conveniently located with easy travelling to Torquay, Paignton, Brixham etc. We used public transport a lot which was extremely regular.

Be careful of using sat nav to this site if not visited before - sat nav will send you on a left turn down on Goodrington Road which will then take you to Grange Heights- you will end up going down an extremely steep hill, with virtually no turning point at the bottom. The best was to go is straight down Goodrington Road bearing right where the road splits.

We have just got back from just over a week at Hoburne Torbay and agree with the others that the bottom field is much more level, however it floods a bit in places, next door to us had a mini plunge pool after a day of heavy rain!

Great site well maintained, clubhouse and pool etc great, restaurant was good value and good food too. The steam train that passes by is a great day out and good value too.

The bottom field has 70 odd pitches and only 4 ladies and 4 men's showers, luckily it wasn't busy but in the peak season there could be large queues, also the shower blocks are very dated compared with other Hoburne sites. They were cleaned regularly, but the shower cubicles are a bit grotty.

Stayed here over the Whitson Bank Holiday, there were 3 caravans of us in all 12 Adults and 2 children. I had previously stayed in a private static on this site 2 years previous so I knew the park quite well- except where the touring pitches were. The touring area is not bad, we had the one of the worst pitches-there were only 2, but to be fair they weren't that bad just on a slight slope, nothing major and we only really noticed it when I put a glass on the cooker and it gently rolled backwards a bit.
Pitches were of a good size, we were right opposite the toilet block-although a little dated it was very clean and adequate. Showers were free and there was never really a cue to use them as there is limited pitches. Next to the toilets live a couple who are the on-site wardens so there if you need them, as we came in there was somebody to guide us on the pitch and to specify the pitch layout which was helpful.
Clubhouse is great for kids, soft play area, cinema, entertainment, arcades, indoor pool, outdoor pool, park and a large field for them to play football etc on. Adult entertainment was quite good too, take away meals available until 11pm ish- we had chips at 11.40pm. Only drawback for us was the weather-but that cant be helped. No dogs are allowed on site. Overall a good site. Bar prices a little steep but then aren't they all.

Just back from a stay here for 7 nights May-June. The park was lovely and clean. Toilets were kept clean. We were lucky enough to have a pitch at the bottom field which was certainly the best area as level pitches not like the top field. The indoor pool was very good and it had a nice sauna and steam room for all to use. The club was a little pricey but did provide a good standard of entertainment. The staff were friendly and the shop was reasonable. 15 minute walk to the beach which was not too comercialised. We took the steam train (£39 for the family) to Kingswear and the price included the return train plus return ferry to Dartmouth then a river cruise which was excellent for the day out.
We would return to this site but would only book the bottom field as it was much nicer.
