We stayed at Deeside Holiday Park for 4 nights in July 2010. The site is lovely with big spacious pitches, quiet, friendly and well laid out.
We booked 2 tent pitches and a caravan pitch however upon arrival we were told the tent pitches were 'near' the play area. These pitches are actually on the play area. This maybe ideal for families with children however we opted for one electric and one non electric pitch at the other end of the site. This has the advantage of nice views and its own portakabin, complete with two showers, to service 5 tents. We did experience problems with the toilets not being cleaned for a couple of days but despite reporting this to reception they still weren't cleaned prior to our departure.
The site shop is very basic however the local BP Petrol Station in Peterculter has a Wild Bean Cafe for all the basics.
There are many Historic Scotland premises to explore in the local area as well as Aberdeen City Centre 6 miles away.
Taking all into account this is a lovely site and you will enjoy your stay here.

Been on this site a few times before. Lovely quiet tidy site. Hardstanding and grass pitches. Fully serviced pitch £ 18.00 + 0.50p per night for the dog.
You need a code for the loos. Clean and tidy loos, 3 showers and 5 loos. No wait for the shower. Free showers 10p for hairdryer. Disabled shower and loo. Busy site but still pitches available.
Lots of statics as well, friendly people. Shop open from 9 every morning, rolls and papers can be ordered chocolate, ice cream and a few groceries for sale. Morrisons 8 miles away in Aberdeen also Sainsburys 4 miles away. Refuse bin on way to gate with recycling bins.
Childrens play area and a duck pond. Dog walk above park. Don,t turn off road at first Maryculter sign go on a few miles to the roundabout and turn left, its a better road.

We had three days on this site, lovely level well cared for pitch with plenty of room. Hook up powered our TV, lighting, microwave and small heater. Office staff good and friendly too.
The toilet and shower facilities were good and clean with plenty of hot water. The site is quiet and also very easy to find and travelling around from it is very simple. Lots of Castles if they are your thing.
The Inn next door is accessible from the caravan site back door. (The road in the front has no footpath and is very busy).
Food is good and reasonably priced at the Inn with friendly staff, the `posh lounge` is very nice and carries no extra charge.
Plenty of statics if you do not want to take your `van. We see no reason to use any other site next time We go to Aberdeen.

We visited this site for a weekend and all I can say is it was fantastic, the service we got was first class and the staff were so friendly.
The quality of the static was superb and they had thought of everything inside it to make your stay comfortable and home from home.
The site is literally 4 minute drive from Storybook Glen (could walk it but weather was wet) which is great for the little ones as they can run wild and tire themselves out.
Lovely quiet site and will certainly be going back.=

Stayed on this site for 4 nights. Very well kept site, which is nice and peaceful. Good well positioned super pitches are very convenient.
It is best to book this site well in advance. This site is only a few miles from Storybook Glen theme park which is like a spook time warp back to the 60's with weird huge headed creatures. Kids seemed to enjoy it though.
Enjoyed this site so much we returned again for another 4 nights in August.
Less than 10 miles from Aberdeen's beach front, with amusement park, leisure pool and flumes, etc.
There is a large Asda 8 miles away in Aberdeen at the bottom of Stonehaven Road
Highly recommended

Deeside holdiay park is a well maintained, clean and friendly park which is very child friendly.
I camped there with my 2 young children along with a friend who has 3 young children and we had a great time. We were able to pitch right by the play park and our children played the day away. We were able to keep a close eye and relax ourselves. Perfect.
The toilets and shower facilities were clean and in good condition.
There was also a games building which had 3 rooms inside. One room had a tv with lots of videos to watch . We didn't need this room as the kids were having lots of fun outside. There is also a pool room and a room with table tennis, football and a pinball machine in.
I noticed that there were children of all ages at the play park and they all seemed to play altogether. I am sure this has something to do with the friendly ethos of the park.
I would whole heartedly recommend this park to anyone, especially with young children. It is also a quiet park and suitable for campers without children. I would suggest booking as there aren't that many tent pitches but I noticed there were lots of caravan pitches.
