Stayed here recently for 2 nights and would echo all previous positive comments. Excellent for dog walking at rear of site or on nearby Cuckoo Trail, which is great for walkers and cyclists stretching from Heathfield to Polegate. Single unisex toilet and shower are cleaned regularly, twice daily when we stayed.

The pub which is dog friendly serves excellent meals and bar, snacks at very reasonably prices. Two real ales from Sussex breweries were on and in excellent condition. The pub is very traditional and locals are very friendly.

Martin and Andy have put a great deal of thought and hard work into creating this C&CC certificated site and it has paid off. Maybe a small canopy over the campers washing up sink would not go amiss for wet weather. Chemical Disposal point is one of the best I have used

My only concern is that they might get too busy that we may not be able to get booked in next time we want to visit!

All in all an excellent little site. Recommended.

Fantastic site with fantastic food and friendly staff!

The site was perfect for myself and 2 children (aged 3 & 7). Unlike a large site, the kids had the freedom to explore as they could be seen at all times. They also loved the playground in the pub garden.

Very clean toilet and shower. So nice to have these facilities on a Certified Site as without these we wouldn't have booked. The shower was operated by 20ps which meant hot, hot water was always available.

The only disappointment, and only because it had previously been advertised, was the cessation of the washing-up service which apparently had been so utilised that the site manager had spent the majority of his days washing-up! A sink was provided for washing-up with cold running water.

Setting is lovely with miles of open fields to the rear of the site and the Cuckoo Trial accessible just a few hundred yards across the road.

We will definitely be returning.

Stayed here on Saturday 23rd July as first time campers with two four year old boys.

We totally agree with the other reviews it is a lovely little spot and pub food very nice with a good selection of real ales and house wine less then a tenner and not bad!.

The owners could not have been more helpful and even offered to wash any plates/cups etc we had before we left!.

The children loved the play area in the pub and as someone who lives nearby its a good place to use as a base.

Fab CS with friendly, helpful owners. (Andy and Martin). Plenty of room and great dog walk

Has electric hook-ups, fresh water and CDP

Great food in the pub and our grandson age 2 enjoyed the playground.

Toilet always spotless, did not use shower as never had enough 20p, our son and daughter in law used it every day and found it more than adequate.

Plenty to do in the area, loved Tunbridge Wells, we

Went on the train as a treat for the 'little un'.

Historic Battle well worth a visit together with Rye, so much to do we ran out of time.

Not a problem, another visit already planned

Have just had a long weekend at this lovely little site, my daughter and family came in their caravan also. It is really a smashing site I cannot fault it at all. The owners are really helpful and keen to please, the toilet facility and shower exceedingly clean. My grandchildren enjoyed the play area a great deal. It is nice to know that if you did not feel like cooking you can eat in the bar or nice garden area. The dogs were welcome and there are plenty of walks around for them. We all will be returning again and again

What a little gem of a camp site.

Located in the grounds to the rear of the Runt in Tun, a pub with a reputation for good food, this is a tidy site enclosed by trees and gated.

The grass is short the ground even and well kept with a variety of small trees and bushes dotted around. Together with the trees that encompass the site makes this a pleasant and cozy place to camp.

The site is listed as seven pitches, having seen the site would say these pitches are generous in size.

There is one toilet and one shower unit.

These are of the portable loo style but are larger and of a high standard. Standing on paving and covered

They have lighting with illuminated light switches.

The toilet has hot and cold water, double two pin power point, and a small mirror. Within the shower unit you have divided wash and dry area. The doors on both units close secure and the interiors were spotless, odour free and cleaned daily.

Drinking water is supplied via a stand pipe which is on a small paved area with proper drainage, so no wet muddy bog to stand in.

There is no wash point for your pots or pans but get this.

On arrival Tent campers are given a 40 litre clear lidded box with their name card attached. You put your stuff in this, leave it at the collection point and it is returned to your tent contents spotless and dry.

For the kids there is an excellent play area with a large wooden climbing frame and slide, chalk boards and Thomas the Tank.

To the rear of the site is a small gate which gives access to a country walk which due to our time constraints we did not make.

The site is on the outskirts of Heathfield which has three small supermarkets and a variety of shops for provisions for that something you forgot.

We arrived Friday afternoon and departed Sunday afternoon, Andy the proprietor made us feel welcome throughout, and called by each day to see

If there was anything we wanted. Although there are electric points we do not yet have the hook up and Andy very kindly charged the girls mobile's up, without which they would have been lost.

All this for 8.50 for 2 adults 2 teens and a 2 year old is outstanding value.

We will definitely stay here when next in the area.

All in all a site to be recommended.
