The site is a well run family site, lots of open spaces, ideal for families, it is near a lovely village called stoke gabriel, and from this location it is very easy to get to lots of different places. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

The outdoor pool is heated for most of the season, the numerous toilet/shower/pot washing blocks are clean and adequate.

I cannot comment on the bar, restaurant, or family room because we didn't use those facilities, the craft centre is ideal for use when it is bad weather, The shop has a good selection of food, toys, and camping needs etc. ,

The children's' play areas are safe, although with having young grandchildren we supervised the children on the rides/swings/climbing frames.

There is some lovely walks on the site. A separate area for dog exercise.

The laundry equipment has been upgraded for this year and is much better.

The reception is well stocked with leaflets etc for places to go, things to do, a pc for use with a small charge, they have discount vouchers for attractions for the asking. Throughout the weeks there are external attractions brought into the site, some make a small charge, others are free, it is up to the individual how much or how little you want to join in,

My only tiny negative is about how to get to the site - it is down what I would call a 'narrow' country lane, although it is a bus route.

Finally we will be going back again next, what more recommendation can you get!

Daves mate said it all really, the orchard field is lovely, the amenities block there is simply wonderful. They've got some 'pods' in there too, I had a look in one as some people were just setting up, and I quite fancy trying one sometime.

We went here at Easter as a 'trial run', Mrs V8 and I are getting married in August, in Newton Abbot, and we're using this site as 'home' for the week before and a weeks honeymoon after, yes, a camping wedding! The staff have been so helpful! We've been able to book four adjacent pitches for the weekend, where we wanted, the DJ/MC (John) has said he'll tailor the nights fun for us, they've appeared genuinely pleased to help us out. That makes a world of difference.

Situation wise the site is great for the English Riviera, Literally just up the road from Paington, with some great pubs within a few miles, Hare and Hounds in Kingskerswell-brilliant!

Our 2nd visit to this site. To be honest we only booked it as we couldn't get in where we wanted to go for Easter, so glad we returned here though. The site is superb and we loved it every bit as much as we did on our 1st visit.

Staff are very friendly and the toilet blocks are kept spotless. The newer block down in the orchard field has been very well thought out and the showers are laid out in such a way that your stuff doesn't get wet on the hanger, an idea lacking in so many places. The bigger main block, although perfectly adequate, would benefit from modernisation. It gets quite cold in there, when all the showers are on and the steam builds up it can get a bit slippy as well. Also, having the washing up sinks in the shower room just seems wrong.

A previous review mentioned sloping pitches. There are a few around but none were being used during our visit and I get the feeling they're used as a last resort during peak periods. The majority of pitches are level and of a good size.

There are at least 3 play areas dotted around the site in different spots. Ideal if you've got young kids as it means you're never pitched too far from one.

Pool area was tidy and clean but water was a bit chilly (I really don't understand why sites won't heat outdoor pools for Easter). Family and bar areas are very good. Good entertainment for kids and adults alike plus reasonable prices at the bar. Food in the on site cafe is the usual campsite fare (burgers, nuggets etc) but is good quality. Yes, the activities in the craft centre do have to be paid for but while we were there free daytime activities were put on for Sat & Sun including a falconry display.

Overall we really like this place and will be back.

From the moment we arrived everything ran very smoothly, the campsite is very well run. We'd arrived early having travelled a long way through the night but were allowed to park up the van until our pitch was ready and have a wander.

The site is quite large made up of several areas but there are enough facilities on each area to mean you are never too far from toilets and showers.

The facilities on our area were new and perfect. The site has everything you could wish for on a family holiday without the 'Butlins' effect. The entertainment was great and the people running the bar and family room very friendly and helpful. A lot of pitches are quite a way from the pool and clubhouse but at least this means you are not disturbed by the noise if you don't want it and we found it a pleasant walk back, as the site was well lit.

Stoke Gabriel is lovely, and there is a nice pub serving food. Torbay didn't seem to have a decent place to eat anywhere and the car parking for beaches soon mounted up -very expensive, which is a shame as the beaches were lovely. If you are not too bothered about the beach all the better as you may as well stay at the site.

The site is situated quite close to two supermarkets and is about 3 to 4 miles from the beaches.

All the kids loved crabbing off the jetty in Stoke Gabriel.

Visited this site after reading adverts and the fact that they are a Premier site.

Must admit we were disappointed. Not to say it is necessarily a bad site, it is just not our cup of tea. We visited in the summer holidays, which was a mistake. It is a proper 'holiday' site with a club, house, pool etc. When we were there it was quite noisy with one group of people being particularly noisy well after midnight. Nothing was done about it. Lots of people were complaining the following morning to reception.

We went on the 'country walk' which is mainly on a busy, bendy road. VERY dangerous as cars, some towing caravans, fly down this road.

Advantages - Bus stops right outside the gates. Very nice village, Stoke Gabriel about a mile away. (Down dangerous road though).

Disadvantages - Torquay is rubbish.

My view is that the site should market itself as a more commercial site along the lines of a small 'Haven'. If that was what you were expecting then you would not be disappointed. However, I was expecting a quiet country site.

I won't be going back, but if I did it would be outside school holidays.

My family have been coming to this campsite for over 10 years. It is a very friendly site and both myself and husband and son have met up with the same families from all over the UK every year.

When the children were younger we used to have cricket matches. The site feels very safe and so we were able to let the children go off by themselves exploring. There are 2 play areas and a wood. The swimming pool is great for all the family with a lifeguard in attendance every day.

There is a family room with entertainment for the children every evening, with a disco for teens till 12 midnight. There is an arcade and a TV room and an adults only bar. The cafe and take-away is reasonably priced as is the well stocked shop.

There is a large Sainsbury's and Morrisons supermarket less than 10 minutes drive away. The camping pitches we have had have always been big and you never feel you are top of anyone.

Plenty of toilets and lovely hot showers and there is a brand new block down on the bottom field. Out of the camp less than a 10 minute drive will take you to the village of Stoke Gabriel where every evening you will find hoards of families 'crabbing' in the creek.

A crab line for 99p and a bit of bacon on the end and the kids love it, we were often there for a couple of hours or until it got dark. 15 minutes drive the other way and you'll be at Broadsands Beach. A lovely safe sandy beach with a cafe, shop and toilets.

I would rate this site 10/10 for its facilities on the site itself and also for the position and easy access to Torbay.
