This is a great campsite, close to local attractions and shops. On arrival to the site we were given a warm friendly welcome.

The hardstanding pitches are laid with light coloured stones which give the site a bright and clean look. The toilet and shower block were always clean and tidy.

If you fancy a walk the hills at the back of the site are good for exploring, but they are not for the faint hearted.

We came here on a camping trip in May with four adults, two kids (11 and 12) and also two dogs, in total 6 people and two dogs. We came on the Friday and left on the Sunday.

The staff was very friendly and on the Friday when we had a power cut the owner was on the campsite quite quickly, apart from that the electricity was very good and reliable. You could order rolls and newspapers the day before and collect in the morning. The surrounding area was good as close by there was a few takeaways ie. Chinese, fish and chips.

The showers were nice but if you didn't want to wait it would be best getting there as soon as you woke up but even then there might be a queue there.

Where we were we had a lovely view one side the Wallace monument and on the other side we had the hills with the highland cows and sheep and with the time of year we also had some lambs. The park for the kids was alright but just as well they had the dogs to take for walks otherwise they might have gotten board. The walk for the dogs was good as they could walk about as they had to stay on the lead at all times. There is a lot to do as Dollar glen is not far off

You need a code to get into the toilet and getting in and out before 9am and after 8pm but you get issued with one on arrival.

We would go there again as we enjoyed ourselves.

This is a very well maintained and attractive site on the outskirts of Sterling, with some road noise from the A91. This was not too obtrusive though. The welcome was excellent and the offer of newspapers, rolls or milk for the morning an added bonus.

We had an ample choice of hardstanding pitches so we tried several to find one that was roughly level and to save getting out the blocks. The facilities are modern and spotlessly clean.

We only stayed one night prior to our return South and our dog enjoyed the dog walk in the woods at the back of the site. We wish we could have stayed longer here - recommended.

We are just back from our trip at the weekend to Witches Craig Caravan Park. This is our first time to this particular site.

As you approach the park from the Wallace Monument you can see the park through the trees at the roundabout, and right away we all gave a wow.

The park is situated at the very foot of the Ochill Hills and is responsible for some of the very best scenery that caravaning has to offer.

As you turn into the park and approach the reception the wow factor is still maintained. There is a very nice purpose built reception building with the surroundings of the site in a very well kept state.

We were dealt with efficiently at reception and shown where the pitch was located. All the pitches and roads looked as if they had been recently laid or maybe the place was just immaculate?

The pitch was of a very good size with the caravan, awning and car able to fit comfortably onto it.

The park had bin, water and grey water waste locations well placed around the site however there is only one chemical waste point which for us was at the other end of the site. There is a good sized playpark area which was also well laid out for the kid's.

The toilet block for us was also a bit of a walk, which again in dry weather is ok, but if its raining heavy it may become an issue.

The toilet block is coded entry which for me was a mess about. Give me a key card to use any day as there are enough codes and numbers going on in ones head.

I was surprised by the toilets when I got inside as it didn't live up to the rest of the site in my opinion. The toilet block is obviously an older building and was a lot smaller inside than toilet blocks I had encountered on recent visits to other sites. The toilets and shower areas were very clean but there is no privacy at all at the wash hand basin area. The shower cubicles I'm afraid were very cramped and claustrophobic. The shower area itself is a step up off the main floor and into the shower which whilst showering made me feel uncomfortable as you were very aware of the height. Could be nasty if someone slipped and fell out of the shower.

There is an eight minute timer switch for hot water on the shower which isn't a bad idea and you do get eight minutes of continuous hot water with no stop and start buttons.

The kitchen area was well kept and there is a fridge freezer facility in the laundry.

If you leave the site and turn left there is a farm shop a short distance away which sells nice eggs.

Further down the road there is a village with a co-op, a nice Indian takeaway/chip shop(which also delivers to the site) and a pub. Enough for us for a weekend. There is also a Chinese takeaway that delivers to your pitch which is nice and we took advantage of this on the Saturday night.

Wallace Monument is close by, with plenty of walks and cycling routes close to hand.

We had a nice weekend and if your lucky enough to get a hot summers day whilst there it will make for the perfect barbecue location.

10/10 for scenery and we will definitely be back.

We just wanted somewhere near Stirling as a launch point for our journey home; but were so impressed with this site and the wonderful warm reception we received that we will definitely return for a longer stay.

Took advantage of the local Chinese takeaway (which, as others have said, delivers to the site) and had enough left over for our meal when we arrived home the following day. Guinness book of records for furthest Chinese takeaway?

Wonderful location (the Ochills - are there och-forests, och-mountains etc. In Scotland?) - it poured with rain the whole of our stay but otherwise would have been a wonderful site to just sit out and enjoy the scenery.

Wonderful well appointed site with a very warm welcome. Flat site with mainly hard standing which has obviously had a lot of investment.

Nice flat grassy site for tents.

Toilets and shower block warm, modern and immaculate.

Very user friendly motorhome service point.

Library of books available at reception for a donation to charity.

Site deserves all its stars and if there were star awards for dog walks this one should have the maximum. Its through a natural woodland and leads onto a path which climbs the hill at the rear of the site. Possibly could be muddy but our mutts loved it.

Useful tourist map of surrounding area with points of interest, restaurants etc highlighted given when 'checking in'.

Nice and central so useful to break the journey on the M/A9 just turn off through Bridge of Allan.

Suppose its near a busy road but its really not that intrusive.

Nice touch in that the owners encourage feedback from users by asking everyone to fill in a satisfaction survey on leaving.
