Lovely site and what a backdrop the Ochil hills make. The hard standing pitches are the biggest I have come across, bags of room for van, awning and car.

As mentioned the separating link fence is a bit low so watch when reversing. At the moment they are busy planting hedging to cut the noise from the busy main road. It has worked on other sites so should do the business here.

There is one toilet block which is spotless and I just love the music.

There is a good local bus service and most drivers stopped at the entrance, but ask when boarding because it is a busy main road. Day ticket £5. 50. The bus stop is about 200 metres away from the entrance.

The reception is a good place for local information, what's on etc and has a good stock of brochures for surrounding area and Scotland. You can also order your daily paper and morning rolls.

There is a kids play park but we did not have the expert on these things with us this trip so cannot really comment on that but the kids playing on it seemed to be enjoying themselves.

This is another site on our must visit again list.

Stayed here for one night, cost £19. 00 for 2 adults, 2 dogs, elec and wi-fi. Site is on a very busy, noisy road but when we mentioned this they gave us a pitch right at the back so it did not bother us.

The dog walk was very good, fenced and wooded you could let dogs off lead. It was a bit muddy though! Site is a 5-min drive from Stirling and there is an outlet village also close by.

Site is well maintained and we would definitely stay there again. Good phone signal.

Husband said white chain-link pitch borders were hard to see when reversing into the pitch being white, a minor point but worth noting.

Lovely site with stunning scenery. Very pleasant and quiet, relaxing. Toilet/shower block would have been better placed more centrally, bit late to change that now though.

Everywhere is clean and well maintained. Staff are generally very cheerful and chatty.

It is about a one mile walk into Causewayhead (all pavement) where there is a good chip shop (doesn't do mushy peas) and the William Wallace pub.

This pub isn't sure about being dog-friendly though, especially on Thursday nights! Probably best avoided.

Good site to visit for a quiet and relaxing break.

Lovely and clean park, staff are very friendly will try to help you on whatever way they can. Toilets are spotless and there was never any queues even though the park was quite busy. The pitches that back onto the road are quite noisy although the site are currently planning to plant a hedge to try and minimize the noise. The only problem that we had with the site which confused us is that a car came next to our pitch and set up a pitch for the night at 9pm and the site knew about this. This was inconvenient for us as we have a small child who was sleeping

This site always gets ‘A’ for effort. The women running the place couldn’t be friendlier, more helpful or more genuinely interested in making your stay a pleasant one. Reception is open for 11. 5 hours, plenty of leaflets on the local area, good advice on what to do and where to eat, weather report displayed (though every time I went to look there was quick check on the internet for me as well – without asking!).

Drainage on the grass pitches has been massively improved since our first visit, but there are still problem areas. We thought we had picked a high enough patch, but found a lake under the tent when we packed up – our next door neighbours were bone dry!

Playpark is lovely, with things to do for toddlers as well as older children. The local area is also great for families – Blair Drummond Safari Park is our main destination. We also like the park at the foot of the Wallace Monument – if weather is good enough you can nip down to Corrieri’s for ice-cream. This time we tried the Peak swimming pool – very good for small children with a separate little pool (adjustable height floor) and a paddling bit with fountains and little slide. Gabe’s Diner (near swimming pool) is highly recommended. Excellent breakfast menu and very high quality Italian and Thai food (NOT in any way a greasy spoon!).

The big downside, for us, is the shower block. There’s no family room and access is by key, so getting three children’s’ teeth brushed is a bit more awkward than we’d like. The showers aren’t suitable for little ones, though you might be able to get access to the disabled shower room if you ask for a key. Pressure is low, hot water is by pushing a button – you get 8 minutes. You can reach the button from the shower!

Indoor washing up area, fridge and freezer in the laundry room. Highly recommended. If the shower blocks were upgraded slightly we’d be happy to spend a week here, as it is we still return every year.

Stayed at Witches Craig just for one night to meet up with friends. It's a very tidy campsite with good clean facilities and a fabulous playpark for children.

The pitches are fairly level and the ground was easy and stone-free. Plenty of room between pitches - although the site was quite busy, it wasn't overcrowded at all. Showers and toilets were very clean and well-kept, with plenty of hot water.

The playpark is the biggest I've seen in a campsite, and my children (6 and 8) just loved it. There were roads all around the campsite in big loops - perfect for practising bike riding!

Locally there are loads of things to do - Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Bannockburn and Blair Drummond Safari park, all of which I would recommend.
