It was amazing, firstly the owners Allison and Adrian were very friendly and helpful. They were always there if you needed them and they made myself and my partner feel welcome right from the minute we arrived until the time we departed.

The site was a stone throw from the beach and the view from the caravan was amazing, just like a picture postcard. It was a fantastic site to relax away from the pressures of work and everyday life.

I have recommended this to all my family and friends. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. We are coming back in August this year for a few days and we cannot wait.

Stayed here for six nights in May, weather was very mixed. This site has beautiful views straight onto the sea, I have never stayed anywhere so close to the sea and it was lovely to go to sleep listening to the waves.

Brand new toilet block with lots of hot water and very good showers, there is also a very good washing up area. The only problem with the toilet block was that it was a little cold, there is central heating installed, however there was a problem with the boiler which needed a part and the owners are aware that it is cold, another point is that it would be good if the owners put a bin in the washing up area as there is nowhere to scrape your plates, although these are minor details.

There is a laundry with washing machine and dryer and a pool table and table tennis all of which is housed across the road in an outhouse where there are also plenty of leaflets.

The major down point of this site is the fact that you have to cross the main road to put rubbish in bin, or if you had children then they would have to cross the main road if they wanted to play table tennis, there is road noise in the morning but tails off during the day and not much at night.

There is a really good shop just a short walk away with the best priced whisky ever! What wins with this site is the owners friendliness and keenness to please and the best part is the views which are wonderful, you can see right over to the islands or watch the seals on the nearest rocks and the sunsets are fabulous.

I would be most keen to go back to this site which was also well priced with electric hookup and awning.

Went to get a quiet, relaxing week away from it all and we were not disappointed. The owners, Adrian and Alison, were very friendly and welcoming and helped us get our caravan onto our pitch.

The pitches could not be closer to the beach and the views are fantastic. As several other reviewers have said, the sunsets are the best ever. The beach is clean and great for children and dog walking. We even had a barbecue and a wee fire on the beach one night while we watched the sun go down.

The new toilet block is top notch and kept spotlessly clean. The local shop (2 minute walk away) stocks anything you could need to keep you going until you get to Tarbert or Campbeltown which both have supermarkets. You can even hire binoculars at the site.

All in all, a perfect 'chilling out' site and we will probably go back for more of the same sometime.

Spent 2 glorious days here - the weather could not have been better! Beautiful views across to the islands. As said before, right on the beach but with the main road at the back - quite busy during the day but fine at night time.

They had just put the new shower block in the week before but very kindly phoned us to explain there were no showers as they were having some problems. When we got there they could not have been more apologetic and even advised us they had opened one of the static caravans we could use for a shower. The new block is actually fab - ladies has 2 loos, a privacy cubicle, hairdryer, handdryers and 1 shower (which looks to be nice and big when its finished)

Nice information room with leaflets next to the games room. Very pleasant site, reasonably priced.

We have been aware for some time that the shower block, although adequate, was showing signs of wear and tear.

Over the time that we have owned the park, we have upgraded caravans, apartments and living quarters. 2010 is the turn of the Touring Park, negotiations are in hand for a new Unit which we hope to have in place for the start of the new season.

Lets start this at the beginning - booked via email and had a few problems with the form which the lady was very helpful in sorting out, and kindly allocated the pitch we really wanted (number 2) after a cancellation (before this we couldn't book the whole 7 nights) So first impressions where excellent.

We arrived and where shown to pitch by the lovely husband and recycling etc was explained. He later came over to check all was ok. It is also worth saying on the day of packing the tent we couldn't find most of our tent pegs and couldn't find any in local shops but he lent us some - so big thanks (we rung up before hand)

We really enjoyed our stay, its a nice small site and you walk out your tent onto the beach. We were blessed with 6 days of good weather the one rainy day we went to Gigha and walked to the gardens, they where lovely and well worth the walk and the little pub there is amazing, great value and lovely food. Most of our time was spent on the beach, we had a sit on top kayak which pretty much the whole campsite used. I used to paddle out to the rocky outcrop (quite a distance so be safe) large birds land here and seals bask in the sun, they also swan around my kayak and popped up to keep an eye on me, they swam under me and it was amazing to be so close to them in the wild.

My husband informs me his showers where lovely and warm, I have to admit that I never had a good shower experience (although I do know these have been upgraded now) the water would be hot for a very short time then you would hear the boiler cut out and you would need to wait for it to work again. Especially a problem as I was trying to wash a 3 year old as well. The showers where spotless and cleaned often.

The only bad point about this site, is that the owners can at times come across rather badly. While they are rightly working hard to keep the site clean we felt they crossed a line at times (several campers commented on this) when a wrapper from the beach blew under our car she came rushing over to tell us off in a rather sharp manner! Constant reminders to pick up our dog pooh - we have NEVER not picked up after our dog and I just felt she was a little over bearing. Watching to make sure you recycle, and that you do this and don't do that. One of our guide ropes was 1 inch over a 'line' which you couldn't see, and we where told off.

We used the games room and the pool table 'stole' our money so my husband went to get it opened - to which we got told we did it wrong and it WAS our fault, hardly customer service.

Having said the above we are planning to go back this year so it wouldn't put me off it just took the gloss off so to speak

The little village shop was very very well stocked and the owner very helpful

We didn't have a problem with the road noise, yes its there and the road is busy but its hardly the M25 and we just filted it out.

This is a lovely little site with all you need (water, showers, loos and the beach) Campbeltown is AWFUL and the hotels are like something out of the 70s! the 2 hotels 2 miles up the road where nice though (so our neighbours told us) But campeltown does have a tesco and coop for your food needs. The owl centre was excellent and my daughter loved it - especially the display and the staff where great.

We made friends with the people next door who had a lovely Conway folding tent but lost there email which was upsetting :-(

If the owners would just 'chill' a little it would be 100% but I would rate it 85% at present.

We are going back this summer so we shall see whats its like again
