Fab site! the owners are great, very friendly and helpful known as bloomer. The owner looks after you and tries to help in any way he can. He checks on you to see if all is ok lovely big pitches with hedges either side toilet on site but no shower block but that's not a problem.

The village has two shops and 4 pups at least and a very good fish and chip shop only buy one portion of chips for two people as the portions are huge!Long Melford is near by and a good pub called the The George And Dragon where you get a good meal very dog friendly very reasonable, Sudbury is a nice place to visit plenty of shops and places to eat, we also went to Clare there is a lovely park and a nice walk by the river a very quaint place. Overall a good site, highly recommened

We just had a great 5 days at this camp site, the grass was freshly cut, the toilet blocks were clean and acceptable.

'Bloomer' is perhaps the most friendly camp site owner we ever met, spending time both in the mornings and evenings making sure we were okay and happy with everything, great customer service. He will even 'jump start' your flat battery if asked.

The site is set in wonderful surroundings, with great views all around. We had some fantastic walks, and the surrounding pubs in Gelmsford were all lovely and the meals cheap, but the quality was great. Try the 'monster' fish and chips at 'The Cock' Inn, it really was a monster for the price.

The camping fees were cheaper than a lot more commercial camp sites around and very reasonable.

We are definitely making this a site we will be visiting over and over again.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Clockhouse Farm Caravan Park. Booking was simple and efficient and we were greeted on arrival by charismatic Colin ('Bloomers') who gave us a welcome as warm as the weather (very warm!).

The site is basic but quiet, friendly and beautiful. Just as another reviewer has said, it is just like camping in someone's garden.

We were a party of 3 touring vans and we were all of the same opinion. In the words of Arnie 'I'll be back!'.

Pretty Glemsford has all you need for a weekend (or longer). 4 pubs, chip shop, general stores and peace and quiet.

Thanks again to 'Bloomers', nothing was too much trouble for this laid back guy.

This was a return visit and we brought friends, 6 vans in all,

unfortunately weather was pretty awful, but we still enjoyed our stay with trips to Lavenham and Sudbury.

As before Colin was on hand to make you welcome.

Also had lovely food at the Black Lion in village, can recommend steak night on Thursday mixed grill 10 excellent value. Good karaoke on Saturday with all good turns, landlord and staff makes you welcome as do the locals which is nice.

Also fish and chip shop yum yum all within 5 mins walk.

Be returning soon I hope.

Just spent 4 beautiful days here. The owner Colin welcomed us and checked daily to see if everything was OK.

Lovely location site kept clean and tidy and spacious pitches. Easy location to visit local towns or just get off the main roads to see some gorgeous villages.

Shop, pub and chippie all 5 mins away. The only down for some will be lack of facilities ie no showers or hot water, toilets very basic could do with a good bottoming (excuse the pun) but it won't stop me re visiting I still think it was worth the 11.

We received a warm, friendly welcome when we arrived at the site and given a full tour during which we were invited to select any pitch we preferred.

Although this site doesn't have any showers, at only 11 per night it's still by far the best 'value for money' site me and my wife have ever used!.

Pitches are large and fairly private due to the abundance of shrubs and trees.

One thing we loved is that there is no concrete, tarmac or gravel, just lush, green grass which is kept in immaculate condition.

Except for close to the toilets and information cabin, there is no lighting at night so, a torch is a must.

The location is ideal for visiting many of the beautiful villages such as Long Melford and Lavenham or the larger towns of Sudbury and Bury St. Edmunds.

The village of Glemsford is within easy walking distance where the Cherry Tree pub serves good value meals.
