We stayed at the site recently and were very impressed. Nicky and David were so friendly and helpful. We were introduced to Hamish, Eilidh and Susie (highland cattle) also enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast every morning.
Toilets are well looked after and spotless.
We will be back next year with our tent. Lots more things for us to see and do.

A very welcoming site, the owners Dave and Nicky are very friendly and helpful.
Well maintained toilets and showers, free hot water and plans to extend, from what Nicky said, this may include disabled facilities in the future.
Plenty of midges down near the loch so take head nets etc but some fantastic views, saw seals and sea eagles from the tent.
There seemed to be plenty of hook ups for those who wanted them, the main tent field is slightly sloping in places and there is a dedicated area for dog walks along the loch.
All in, very impressed, clean tidy and ideal for the whole island.

Lovely site. We had a pitch immediately overlooking the loch - idyllic. Nicky very friendly and helpful. Pitches were spacious enough. Toilet and shower facilities, although not luxurious, were spotlessly clean. A great centre for touring the rest of Skye to see the spectacular and ever-varying scenery. Nearest town is Portree which was very busy. If you want to visit, you need to get there early morning or later afternoon, otherwise parking can be a problem. We'd certainly go to Loch Greshornish again.

A great quite site on the loch shore. The owners Dave & Nicky are welcoming , friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and I believe there are plans ahead to update these. There was no shortage of hook ups and pitches were large enough to ensure privacy. There is no play area for kids but there again is one needed when you have the Skye coastline as your playground
We would definitely visit again and if you like peaceful and natural settings then I would recommend this site.

The setting of this site is lovely. The facilities block was clean but in great need of updating. No room in the showers for clothes to hang and nowhere else to put them! However, there are great plans to upgrade the site which can be viewed in the information room - an excellent service.
The owners are very friendly and helpful although clearly novices in the campsite business - I suspect they are learning fast however.
There is a specific dog walk accessed by a gate in one of the fields. This is the best dog walk ever, and completely fenced (no livestock) therefore dogs can be let off lead without worry. Loads of crinkly coastline and grassy fields - our 2 Deerhounds loved it. There is a dog poo bin with bags provided. 10/10.
The 2 pubs at Edinbane were like the MaryCeleste - closed/deserted. A pity as we had trudged a fair distance being showered by loose chippings as cars etc. Zoomed past at extraordinary speeds. The dogs were terrified and so were we. So - no pub grub available. Good job we had food in the van or we would have starved. The campsite shop is bijou and not terribly well stocked with basics.
We will go again next year as the setting is fantastic.

Lovely site, well situated for visiting northern Skye, with great views. We pitched in the first tent field which is on a slight incline, but that wasn't a problem. There are no mark pitches, but even though it was high season and quite busy there was plenty of room and you didn't feel crammed in. The owners were very friendly and helpful, freezing iceblocks and giving advice on where to visit. The toilet/shower block was very clean and is pretty central to the first tent field and touring section of the site, but quite a trek from the further tent fields. The washing-up sinks are located: one in the men’s loos/showers and one in the women’s which seemed quite strange and a little unhygienic. There are plenty of loos, but only 2 showers which meant queues and only once in our four night stay was the water warm. The shower heads are fixed (not adjusting at all)and there wasn't any sink cubicles either to get a good wash so my 8 year old had to wash her hair every time. The cooking shelter is a great idea for rainy days, but rather far from the tent fields and I could see that it would get quite crowded. Overall a lovely site and reasonably priced.
