We didn't stop in our own caravan or tent, but in a static. But as they do camping there I will tell you of our experiences. As another person said it was a one way system & it took an age to work out where our van was, they need to review the map they give you !

We went towards the end of the season, when the outdoor swimming pool was closed which the kids weren't too happy about, but we went to the indoor one which was nice.

The site is hilly as another reviewer said & you can here the army doing there training up on the cliffs with guns shots going off every now & then.

The park has 2 pools an indoor one & an outdoor one,a huge arcade,a small football pitch, crazy golf & fantastic safe sandy beach.
There are 3 large rooms showing entertainment, some can get very busy so get there early to get a seat. The entertainment in these 3 rooms is second to none, there is something for everyone for the kids theres the characters Rory the Tiger,Bradley the Bear & Cheeky the Monkey.
Depending on which room you go in these characters go onto the stage & the kids do the usual dances with them, theres a small kids disco every night, theres also bingo early on in the evening in one of the rooms(Capones I think?),later on the resident compere gets the kids up on stage for some fun & games. As the night goes on there is the Haven dancers & a guest group that play a few sets..Both are good..

There is a restaurant which has a standard menu & certain days they have a theme night,ie indian, mexican, wild west..where the food reflects the theme. The main restaurant is a bit on the expensive side,I paid nearly 12 for a steak & it looked & tasted like horse meat!?? But the kids & missus enjoyed theres..

Downstairs in the main arcade are 3 fast food outlets, from memory a Burger King,a chippy & a KFC type of place, these were better with the chippy offering meal deals. The problem with these outlets is trying to get your order over to the server, they all seemed foreign & their english wasn't good.

Next door to the park is a museum/animal sanctuary type thing,it is a tad expensive but is ideal to visit on a rainy day as most of it is undercover. They serve food there, but your best bet is to take a picnic as theres loads of benches for those picnics. Theres animals to see birds, donkeys, horses, rabbits,h amsters & the kids can walk the goats, inside theres something for everyone, including slides & adventure playgrounds. I recommend you vistit this place..

As we are campers we ventured up to the camping area to take a look to see if it was worth bringing our caravan down to the site. The area set aside for campers is small & not very flat, more suited to caravans than tents I would have thought. We also checked out the toilet block & found it okay, but not brilliant.

So summing up the site there is loads to do night & day, but the camping & caravan facilites are something to be desired..

Great park. Kids loved it entertainment is fab. We went in june and the camping field was over crowded no space. More for caravans than tents. We stayed in a trailer tent. Where were no flat spots just sloping ground so every thing was sliding off the table all the time. But would go again for value for money.

The fun facilities on this enormous static caravan site were pretty good. A good indoor pool with slides, loads of amusment machines, clubs for the kids, health spar, indoor soft play area, trampolines a good outdoor climbing frame area and an exellant beach if you like sandy beaches.

The beach must be the best sand beach for miles and the site has excellant access to the costal paths with good walks in both directions. Dogs not welcome on the beach.

The beach and indeed the site are overlooked by a forces firing range but you get used to the sound which is at the distance more like a popping sound. The kids dont even notice.

The toilets/camping facilities were basic/poor, there are two blocks, the one at the top of the site is average and has one family room. The one at the lower end of the camping field is past its sell by date and suffered for half of our holiday with blocked drains which smelled pretty bad. Even though Haven have their own maintainance staff on site it took them over a week to clear and the facility remained open. The family room is massively over subscribed and we managed to use it once in two weeks. The showers in both blocks were below average especially in the lower block. The waste room in the lower block was perminently a half inch deap in water (hopefully) during my stay.

I came to this site late last year and found the pitches to be poorely kept and put it down to a long summer. I must admit I was hoping to see some grass on them this year but unfortunately not. The pitches vary in size and many are able to take twin axles. Doggy field is right next door and is in good order which is handy for most.

The site is definitely geared toward statics and with the poor state of camping facilities and little facts like the site shops not selling any camping equipment what so ever, you are definitely made to feel like a second class customer.

There is however no getting away from the excellant fun facilities for the kids during the rainy days and evenings and it is probably this that brings people back.

The on site entertainment, arcade and pool were great for the kids. Food from takeaway was awful. This has to be one of the worst touring sites I have stayed on.

Toilets old and shabby, pitches small and cramped, field turned into a swamp and management not intersted in sorting problems.

As always with Haven, tourers are classed as second class citizens.

We went to Devon Cliffs for the first weekend in May. They have done a lot of work on the resort and still doing more.

The touring area is not huge, and I would imagine packed in the height of the season. If you are in a tent be sure to get a pitch towards the back of the area as it does slope away at the front. The Toilet/Shower blocks are ok, need a little tidying up but ok. Family wash room, but this can get very wet under foot. Washing up room.

If you use the facilities, and have small children, be sure to take plenty of change! There are loads of amusements.

Overall the site is good. Designed mainly for the static caravan market. It is very hilly. We did enjoy our stay and would go again, but I don't think it would be at busy periods...

Spent two weeks here last year and must agree with the previous reviews.
On the bright side though my four children loved it as there was so much to do and they were kept busy every minute of the day so dont despair if you have already booked.
We had the opportunity to move on after the first week as we had also booked alternative sites but had decided that what this site may have lacked it more than made up for in entertainment and facilities.
