We stayed at this site for only two nights but would have loved to stay longer.  The site is facing the beach and has the most beautiful views.  The facilities were excellent, even fresh flowers in the ladies toilet and shower area.  You can walk along the beach and over a stream to the village which has a shop and a few pubs/hotels.  We had a lunch at the Carradale Hotel, which was excellent.
The roads are twisty and steep in places but we had no problem, we even travelled along the single track road which runs to the north at 7.30 am to avoid any traffic (this is not suitable for caravans).

This site is lovely if you want a get away from it all holiday. The pitches are large and the site set out so that it feels as if you are on a much smaller site. The owners are friendly and there is plenty of information of things to do. There are rabbits all over the site for company. There is no shop on site and the nearest shop is a 30 minute walk but we found we drove for our morning milk.
The shower/toilet blocks could be better - very clean and enough loos and cubicles - be were a bit tatty. The water pressure is spasmodic therefore sometimes showering turned to be hovering under a small trickle, but other times it was fine.
The surroundings are wonderful - we got to the site via the longer route of Campbeltown (as that was what sat nav recommended as quickest) but went back via the single track road which was much quicker. There are loads of beautiful beaches and no one on them - perfect for the BBQ!
We will definitely go back - I recommend for those going from the south a stop over at Glasgow to allow you to appreciate the beautiful journey around the lochs on route to the site.

Just back from 2 weeks on this fantastic site.  Had a super pitch just up from the beach.  Very peaceful site and the beach was never crowded.
All the facilities are good with the slight exception of the showers.  Poor water pressure in the area means they're a bit dribbly at times.
Watch out for that hairpin at Grogport - 14% -  we didn't make it!  Owners Colin and Lorraine Burgess say they're used to getting calls for help getting round this bend - Colin comes out and tows you round with his Land Rover.  They're so nice and very helpful.
Contemplating a seasonal pitch here, it's so nice.

Looks like the roads have not improved since September last year. However, the toil of the drive passes within the first hour of arriving on this site. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We pitched on the front row with only a few feet of heather and grass between us and the lovely beach and sea. There are loads of walks and the scenery is breath taking. We even got some mist rolling in on the sea. Had nice meals at The Glen Hotel and The Ashbank. There is a shop about 20 minutes walk or an hour if you try and take a short cut! We will definitely be returning

Not the first time we've been here. That should say something. The Northern road in is a bit wibbly, wobbly and single track, in the main. There is a tough switchback type hairpin at Grog Port a couple of miles before you get there. The Southern route in via Campbletown is much longer and just as fun with narrow roads and bad bends. You are forced to take your time getting there, but once there the pains of the road disappear very quickly. The site has recently been taken over and the new wardens are as friendly and helpful as you could hope for. Set in amongst stands of gorse and bracken the site has an intimate feel, it is kept clean and tidy and has enough amenities to keep discerning caravaners and campers happy. If the test of a good caravan site is, if you would go back, we’ve already booked for June next year.

What a wonderful well run site in what must rank as one of the prettiest areas of the country. he shower facilities were always kept clean and well stocked with the essentials. A beautiful safe beach just right for boating and and kids playing sandcastles. Also plenty of gorgeous walks for those so inclined.the village shop is a mile or so away but is well stocked if you do need an excuse to wander through this lovely area.
