We have stayed here a few times and have seen huge developments and improvements to the site and facilities since they opened it a couple of years ago. So we stayed over Easter weekend and week and I have to say the new shower block is a vast improvement to the last one! There are separate mens and ladies -from memory ladies has 4 toilets, 3 private shower cubicles with lockable doors (with proper ceramic shower trays - love the curtains!) and 4 wash basins. And handsoap! My husband says the mens has 3 sinks, 3 urinals, 2 private shower cubicles and 4 toilets. They had teething problems getting them going over the weekend but by Sunday evening we had a very welcome piping hot shower! The landscaping was finished through the week and it looks lovely. The owners said the laundry washing and drying facilities are going in next.
The activities are fab for the kids. Our two did teens golf night - only a fiver for unlimited balls for the golf range. Fishing hire is available with day licenses. I went along to the cheese and wine night with my own wine and had a lovely evening listening to history and stories about Banbury. We walked the dog along to the pub past the lake and had sandwiches. We don't have to go to the shops for milk and bread as they sell it at the cafe. Every time we come here we find something new! Its a homely place, great hospitality and most importantly for us its good value.

We stayed here over the Easter weekend. Arrived Thursday and was very disappointed the pitch we had was very water logged very muddy. The showers were not in use until late Friday because there was no electric and no water. When they said the showers were working we went for a shower the water was freezing and no lights. Saturday morning the water had froze up not even water to flush the toilet the water was always cold. We did use the golf course which we feel they pay more attention to than the camping. The other issue l have is the speeding there is no speed signs were people are coming in and out for golf course and it is dangerous were you have to walk over to the toilet/ the staff on the quad bikes were no better. There was no safety on the camp site also. In local field all you hear is the crow scarer going off which is very annoying. The people running the camp are friendly but don't seem to put things right. It's like a building site there.

We stayed twice at this site. We all loved it. I think the informal pleasant atmosphere and the friendliness of all the staff was the most outstanding feature(s) of the site. It has a clubroom and a play area be it a small one the kids still loved it and at night they all went to the clubroom where you can get Pizza's and the like. Nearby is a pleasant pub and good food and a 5-10 minute drive is the market town of Banbury. Excellent place for shopping.
The one and only drawback is the toilets although cleaned regularly they are temporary toilets and the site would benefit tremendously as and when they are replaced. But yes I have no problem recommender the site and am looking forward to my next visit at Easter.

What a lovely greeting we had when we bowled up. Complete newbies, first night and all that, and the owner who greeted us couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Found our pitch and settled in.
The 24 hour toilet/showers are basic but clean and fine to use (and there was loo paper - always a bonus).
A bar, so we read our manuals while enjoying a pint. The food looked good, though we didn't avail ourselves of it as I wanted to christen the kitchen in the motorhome!
A bit of traffic noise, but not enough to keep us awake. And it quietened down well overnight.
A really great site for our first time. And one we will go back to when visiting the area, and have a go on the golf driving range - who knows we might even take up golf ! Or wander down to the fishing lake with a rod. We had a lovely early-morning stroll down to it the next day.
And it is actually very well positioned, near Banbury and thus Oxford and very central.

We have just got back from staying for 4 nights at Drayton leisure and have all had a fantastic time ( there were myself, my wife and our two children).
I have to say that I have given an overall rating of 9 out of 10 purely because the toilet/ shower facilities are very basic and in need of work, having said this upon speaking to the management, they have said that replacing the current facilities with a purpose built (or at least a much upgraded portable cabin) is on the top of their priority list and will be done as soon as the funds are available.
The area is lovely and we found that there was to much to do in the area to fit into our week.
The actual campsite is right next to the road and we were a little worried about traffic noise but from our pitch (which was one of the furthest from the road, ) we found that we hardly heard it.
There is a little playground ( a small climbing frame with slide) that will help to keep younger campers happy, and the clubhouse provided darts and table tennis for free, pool was £1 per game and skittles was £1 for the whole day (you could play as many times as you wanted and even if you left the clubhouse for a few hours they let you carry on playing).
Although we didn't go fishing they have a fair sized lake which you can fish at for £5 per day (dawn till dusk). For a game of golf it would have cost us £24 including clubs and balls, all of this is good value for money.
The staff are very friendly and welcome any suggestions that you give to make the site better.
All in all it was a very friendly site and excellent value for money and when the toilets are upgraded we will definitely be going back.
