A lovely, small and quiet campsite. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our three nights stay despite some dodgy weather.
The showers and toilets are very clean and well equipped, my only negative and very minor point is that, unless you have an electric hook-up, there is no access to an electric point for a hairdryer.
Southport is an easy five minute drive and, if you are using the local train service to Liverpool, better to drive to Birkdale Station which has free parking.
Would recommend this site and we will definitely camp there again.

First time on a club site and really enjoyed it. Love the peacefulness of it and the friendliness of it too.
The owners are very warm and welcoming.
Its very easy to find and very local to southport and food outlets,
Toilets and showers are very clean. Grass areas are well maintained for pitching.
You have to get coins from the owners for a shower. I did think £1 was a lot especially if all the family wanted to use them every day. But it stopped water wastage, an 6 mins 2 people could use at same time (not that my teenage son wanted too)
There still isnt dish washing facility. The BBQ area that was mentioned was a little over grown but again with the wet summer we have had its understandable.
I would go again

A pleasant site currently being developed and improved. 2 fields - one with several electric hook ups (£1 coins) used almost exclusively for caravans; the other a larger more open field from which those with a long wire may be able to reach some hook ups.
Very friendly enthusiastic owners, and spotlessly clean toilets-cum-shower rooms (tokens for showers). No washing up area at present.
Some hens /geese /other fowl on site (eggs available) and lots of conker trees, which pleased our grandchildren.
A large barbecue area looked suitable for groups, and a pleasant roofed garden seat in the corner.
Very handy for Southport, and a big Tesco 5 mins away.
Lovely surrounding area too. A lovely weekend.

This is a very basic site. Two toilet/shower rooms which were spotless. Showers £1 for 6 minutes via token - we didn't use them as we were only there two nights, and 30 minuts from home. (We were testing a new tent. ) As yet no washing up facilities, but apparentley on the agenda.
Owners were lovely and friendly when we arrived.
The tent field is large - there was only one other tent on site so we could pitch anywhere.
Site is ideally placed for visiting Southport, short drive to the park & ride, and regular buses into town centre - £1. 50 all day.
Easy access to Liverpool, places like Knowsley Safari Park.

The site is just outside Southport at Scarisbrick. Its less than a mile to walk to Tesco on the edge of town. Bus service runs from end of lane into Southport town every half an hour for £2 each way.
Site is well laid out with 5 pitches on grass, further pitches on gravel at front of site next to the lane. Ehu available and you pay by coin in the metre. We were there over 24 hours and didn't use a full £1 so good value. There are two toilet \ showers with wet room type showers £1 a shower for 6 minutes. These were kept very clean considering site very busy.
There are two pub restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the site and Southport Lord Street is approx 10 minutes s drive.
All in all a really well placed site that was quiet but easy access to the tourist attractions. We paid £12 for 2 adults and would recommend the site.
