We stayed at this campsite and found the family was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, shown to a pitch and asked was it ok, next day asked again if everything was ok,

English spoken,

Showers and toilets clean and easy to use,

Good size pitch,

Short walk to a wonderful sandy beach,

At the entrance to the site one side is a supermarket, the other side is a bar and restaurant, just up the road there is other bars etc, a cashpoint as well,

Outside the site is a tram really good for visiting middlekerk,

Lots to see and do here, or you can travel the other way to bray dunes, again a wonderful beach and shops all along the front,

Possibly the best welcome we have had over 30 years of camping,

Children's playground was small but nice,

Site is situated just off the main road through town, however no noise from town / traffic etc. Site was just opening for the season when we stayed and already nearly full with seasonals. Room for tourers appeared to be just a few pitches nearer to the gates. Grass well cut and although no hardstanding pitches were good and firm. Ehu and water / drainage available on all pitches.

Toilets / shower set up not great – owner advised only opening gents facilities and woman were to share these. As gents was mainly urinals with only 2 cubicles it meant ladies walking through urinals when they were being used.

A couple of yards from the site there are cafés, bars and shops and a few minutes bike ride brings you onto the beach. From the beach a promenade stretched right long to Ostende. Plenty of cafés, bars and shops right along the 8-9 miles which was a great cycle ride.

Restaurant and swimming pool on site but both closed.

There are many campsites in the area and we would probably not choose this one again.

Cost for 1 night / 2 adults with ACSI €15.00
