Beauly is a wonderful place to visit.
£23 per night for a grass pitch.
The site is well placed as a base for exploring.
At the time of our visit there were 8 working mens caravans on site. There was significant large white van activity between 6 and 7am and all evening.
The toilets were muddy on every visit, no loo rolls on one occasion, 2 out of 2 blocked toilets on another.
Free fishing was offered.
It is the local association water whose members show neither manners nor etiquette. Sharp elbows would be required if you could be bothered.

Y'know, I hate being a moaner. I usually look for the good in most things and certainly look for the positives in most of the sites we have stayed on with our touring caravan and 2 children (12 & 10). So, I'll start with the good things first, but unfortunately, there are a number of serious (in my opinion) negatives about this site.
Positives here are most definitely the location; beautiful area, gorgeous wooded site with lovely river running behind it (on a sunny evening, sitting on the banks of the river watching the fly fishermen was bliss).
Loads to do in the area, just a short drive to Inverness - all the usual facilities there; large supermarkets, cinema, swimming and other rainy day ideas. Tourist options galore, really, in that area you are spoilt for choice.
The site is about 2 miles outside of Beauly itself. Beauly has a good range of medium sized shops (a fair sized Co-Op, a ScotMid, bakers, butchers, nice wee Chinese takeaway, lovely fish and chip shop etc).
In the square on a Thursday evening the local pipe band and highland dancers put on an outdoor display. There is a wee playpark for the kids too.
So, that's the positives mainly out of the way, lets start with the issues with this site.
As the previous reviewer mentioned, the toilet blocks are not great. 2 showers female, 2 showers male. Toilet cubicles, wash-hand basins (and for some reason, the washing up area for dishes, pots, etc) all in the one block. Most of the time it was filthy, no loo roll, soap dispenser empty, no hot water coming out of the washing up sink taps.
The showers frequently fluctuated in temperature from freezing cold to scalding hot, and I for one would not have felt happy leaving a young child under the shower unattended - the water temperature issue could easily be serious, so beware of this.
As the previous reviewer mentioned, the toilet and shower windows are exposed to the main road running through the site, so again, a bit disconcerting when you are having a shower.
The shower cubicles themselves are of the type with no 'lip' or basin to stand in - it is a bit like the shower at the swimming baths, all on the level so the water is running onto the area where you will be standing to dry yourself. The hook on the back of the door is pretty rubbish and there is a small stool in each cubicle.
One real issue is that the tiles used on the floor of the cubicles are actually wall tiles, not floor tiles. This makes the floor very slippy and could be dangerous.
OK, so my rant about the showers over - suffice to say that if you are staying there for a couple of days then, fair enough, you could put up with this - it is obvious that there are plans to try and upgrade the site and the showers.
There are two other issues though that I think are much more serious and potentially dangerous with this site.
Firstly, the siting of the fresh water tap and the chemical waste disposal area are so close together and confusing that on more than one occasion we witnessed people using the same hose to fill up their fresh water barrels that had been used to rinse out the cassette or chemical toilet. This is dangerous It is unsanitary.
The waste disposal area is not sited on a concrete plinth, so the way that you have to empty the chemical waste means that there is also a risk of faeces etc being poured directly into the ground (grass). That is not a good set up at all.
Secondly, the top area of the site is being used as (what was described to us by the owners when we expressed our concerns) a 'temporary storage area' for everything from old fire extinguishers, pots of paint, broken chairs, old bits of wood.
Coincidently, this top area of the site is where the kids all congregated to play (as there is no play area on site). We only discovered the 'storage area' after one of our boys managed to spill paint all over himself and his cousin - they had been playing with the rubbish when this had happened. Well, he was read the riot act and we spoke to the site owners expressing our concern that this area was unprotected and easily accessible by children. They were insistent that there was no problem with this, totally unconcerned that a set of clothing was ruined by the paint, and saw nothing wrong with the storage (or dump) site. Interestingly, it was cleared the following day, hmmm.
Now look, I am really not trying to disparage this site totally, but we will most likely not return.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Lovat Bridge Holiday Park.
The site is in a beautiful setting with the River Beauly running alongside the campsite.
The owners are incredibly nice people who are obviously working hard at the ongoing upgrading.
It was very quiet when we were there and do feel that only 2 showers in the ladies is going to be nothing near the amount of showers the site will need when busy.
The toilet/shower block is brand new and very nice. The toilet roll did not seem to be refilled often enough though.
One real gripe I would have is this - if you go to the toilet when it's dark outside the lights in the toilet block are on a timer. If you're any more than a few minutes you're left in total darkness! I learnt quickly to take a torch with me for night visits to the loo.
The windows in the shower block are small but very low and face out onto the main road going through the site. Although the windows are frosted I still felt a little bit 'exposed' when it was dark outside and the light was on in the shower cubicle. Maybe a covering for the windows wouldn't go amiss.
There is a small pub on site which is ran by a delightful elderly gentleman. It has a wood burning stove - much appreciated by us campers!
The pub is open until 1am - again much appreciated by us campers! The pitches were very flat and well drained.
We would go back to this site but not during the busy season as I feel there would be queues for the shower. Lovely couple who run this site though
