Just home from a fantastic week at Lagnaha. Graham and Carol have created a lovely little site and are wonderful hosts. The cycle track which runs within yards of the site is a bonus and made our stay. Even at our leisurely pace we were in Glen Coe in 40 minutes. We saw seals, sea otters and deer and watched 4 seasons in one day. The route heading towards Kentallen has closed signs on the gates. We were advised that there are no h+s issues along this short section of path and there is no indication of who has put these notices up. We ignored them as did the dozens of happy walkers and cyclists we met. The real danger is on the road and while we may just be casual campervan cyclists we didn't see one single lycra-clad superman on the main road; it's just too dangerous for two wheels. Enough has been said about the hill and mountain walking in the area, (which is our real passion), but Lagnaha has been a great base. Quiet, small spotlessly clean and with two lovely people looking after you, what more do you need?

P. S. If Graham tells you to point your van into the wind remember that it's winter in the Highlands and to listen to a man who knows the weather. We did and had a cosy night in the van instead of being blown about.

We spent 3 nights in the Lagnaha Gypsy Caravans and were thrilled with our welcome, facilitates and of course the views and the wildlife especially the local Cuckoo who serenaded us morning and night. We were met by Graham and Carols lovely friends who welcomed us and helped us settle in. The Caravans are original, small but very clean. The toilet and shower blocks were immaculate. We had taken our own camping things but needed nothing apart from our bedding although Carol offered us bedding. Carol and Graham have thought of everything for a great stay. The BBQ area is fantastic, gas BBQ, hob, pots, pans utensils and even romantic lanterns with candles. We sat around the camp fire at night and were provided with a wheelbarrow of logs. It was just fabulous and we can't wait to book again for the summer. We would highly recommend this site. Thanks again Carol, Graham and your lovely friends.

We probably hit a bad week with wet and windy weather, such is the gamble you take with Scotland. However, this camp site was one we would love to return to. It's a beautiful spot with great walks and the owners had a great attitude, very keen to help and always on hand in an a unobtrusive way.

One night we had a gale, the owner warned us about this and advised us to put the car in front of the tent for protection and the following night, also very windy he suggested we tether the tent to the fence. Helpful advice, the first gale had broken our poles and a couple of others on site too. (luckily we had a spare Quechia blow up tent, no problems with this in the wind)The poles that snapped were from tents with the same design.

I dropped 1 point on facilities due to the lack of shelter, the field is very open to the elements, however, the owners are aware of this and said they are considering to grow a hedge. Otherwise, facilities were excellent, regularly cleaned toilets and showers, all good. The owner confronted one man who had apparently spent inordinate hours occupying the bathroom with his wife, problem sorted in a reassuring way.

Friendly site with camp fires and we could have spent a month here, its a shame holidays are so short, we had no feeling of needing move on like with some other sites so I would definitely recommend.

I feel compelled to write a review of this site while I'm still camped here!

It's beautiful. I can see the sea and craggy waterfalls from this perfectly placed campsite.

The showers and toilet block is the best I've used in the uk.

The owner graham is amazing. I've had issues with my water pump and he won't rest until it's sorted!

You can use the bikes for free to explore the area, have a camp fire and a top notch shower!

I cannot recommend this place more. I stay in campsites (in my Campervan) which are less than 20/night and do not charge extra for dogs, and this has to be one of the loveliest sites I've stayed in.

Great wee site. Pleasant and friendly owners. Good toilet shower facilities. Location excellent for walking or touring by car. Plenty of fishing (bait and tackle shop in Ballachulish). Tarmaced cycle track runs right past site. Good for safe walking. 25 minutes walk to Holly Tree hotel in Kentallan for refreshments. Bikes available on site. Flawless WiFi. They keep 3 lovely Clydesdales in adjacent field, take some carrots. Only a couple of hours from Glasgow easily weekendable, get yourself up there. Will definitely return.

Very welcoming owners to this small site with magnificent views to the mountains and distant Loch. The facilities were excellent, clean and modern and there is electric hook up. Directly behind the site is the excellent cycle path which is great for safe walking and cycling. We cycled to Port Appin where there is a great place for a sea food meal. Only 2 miles of the ride was on the main road, the rest being cycle track or small lane. The views were outstanding. You can also cycle to Kentallen in the other direction but sadly the path was closed at the very end while we were there. We were lucky to have glorious weather and watched eagles soar over head. The adjoining field had the gypsy caravans and tents. With no trees or shrubs this is a very exposed site.
