We stayed here for 3 nights the site was very nice having your own water supply was a bonus the site was very clean showers and toilets was okay although not keen on only having one shower as men and women have to share same for the toilet the owners was very nice never bothered you just came out and greeted you and gave us a welcome pack. Our stay was a very quite one which is lovely so if you are wanting a nice relaxing holiday this is the place to stay

This is a charming small rural site set beside a stream and featuring a scheduled monument that the owner explained was a roman fort. Since the site lies beyond the Antonine Wall, the northern boundary of Empire, this is quite intriguing and I have been disappointed not to find any further information about it. A useful welcome pack is provided on arrival at the site and it would be good to include some history in this. A scheduled monument is something quite special to have on a campsite!

Facilities are excellent, spotlessly clean and spacious with many hooks and plenty of hot water. A thoughtful touch was the provision of a draught excluder to put behind the door. I was almost sorry that I didn't need it! The site is not particularly child-friendly, so is lovely and quiet.

Best of all were the hedgerows full of wild flowers, bumble bees and small night moths, all back lit by the evening sun. Magical.

Lovely site with pitches set in a little dell next to the site of a Roman Fort. In spite of small size, pitches are surfaced. Owner is welcoming and provides an information pack. The toilets and showers in a wooden hut but are well appointed and comfortable even including soap and hand towels in the toilets. One of the best sites we visited.

If you are staying here Stirling is well worth a visit for interesting townscape and the castle.

Very little to add to the previous reviews. An excellent little site, well maintained and in a tranquil setting. Very nice to have such a good toilet and shower block on a CL site as well as electricity and water supplies on each pitch. The WiFi is good and excellent value at 1 a night.

Very well situated for Stirling, the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies and very close to the motorway network.

Just back from a few nights stay at Carrs Hill and site was very pleasant. We were greeted soon after we arrived by the owners on horseback, rather novel. The site is a mix of a 5 van CL site and also then 4 private pitches further down into the site. All were hard standing with the lower pitches having loads of space for caravan, awning ( we didn't put up) and also the car. The lower pitches have a water supply at each one, the CL site has a designated water and grey water facility. The owners were very pleasant and had advised to pick up an information pack as we entered the site. There is a small toilet block that has a split male/ female WC then a shower room in the middle with plenty of space and also loads of hangers for clothing. The end room is the Ladies designated WC ( not sure why the men's is dual use) all were kept lovely and clean. Shower room is a bit cool, but as February there is nothing that the owners can do about it. ! Just get dried quickly that's all ! There is an info room that has lots for the local area and some for farther afield. As written below from 2012, there is not a dish washing facility, but this does not detract from a lovely site. If you want piece and quiet then this is the place. As for children, although we had our daughter with us, there is not really anything much for them to do, but as others have advised the local country park at Plean is only about a mile away and easily walkable on a quiet country road.
