We came across this absolute gem of a site in 1999 and have been back every year since, sometimes twice a year.
We usually tour France in the Spring, this year staying on 12 different sites, so we feel we have plenty with which to compare Camping des Chaumieres.
We endorse all that was said in a previous review for exactly the same reasons.
No bar, no noise from a swimming pool, no karaoke, no disco. Just the sound of the sea a few hundred metres away as you lie in bed. Perfect !
The standard of cleanliness and pitch preparation are what all other campsites should strive to achieve.

If you like quiet, walking, beaches, village location, easy access to shops, restaurants, then this site is the best.
Kerescoet is the most beautiful little village. 600 metres from beaches that are not overcrowded even in August. Miles of coastal and woodland walks. No overt commercialisation.
We have been visiting this site for 10 years. We are true tourers and do not usually return to the same place - but we could not miss this site.
The facilities are always spotlessly clean. Pitches are of a good size and hedged.
The owner speaks excellent English and is friendly and welcoming.
There is no bar, or swimming pool, which makes for a quiet and peaceful time. We would not wish it any other way.
The best site in Brittany.
