A very pleasant chilled out site indeed. A secluded site in Trunch surrounded by farmland and woods. Access is via very narrow lanes as is the norm for this area.

Facilities are basic which include a toilet and a shower. Both kept clean every day by the owner David. We never waited for the loo or shower at any point during our stay.

Hook ups are spaced around the site but some campers did need very long leads.

Mains water is readily available with soak aways at various points across the site. A chemical toilet is also available next to recycling points.

The woods are adjacent to the camp and are great for exploring. You must keep your dog on a lead though.

2 bicycles are provided if you wish to cycle to the local hostileries. We ate at the 'Vernon Arms' which was fantastic. Friendly service and fabulous 'pub grub' food. A little expensive but you have to accept that in this kind of area. Booking is advisable as it was very very busy.

All in all a great peaceful adults only site. My only recommendation would be to install a 'wash up' place for pots etc. Grey water was to be disposed over the local vegetation.

Would defo visit again as the area has so much to see.

What a superb find! A smal CL in lovely woodland, adults only, dog friendly. The toilet and wet room were kept immaculate by David the owner. He welcomed you on arrival and was very helpful and friendly. My wife and I stayed. For 9 days and it is perfectly suited to explore the North Norfolk coast. You will need a tour h at night as it can get very dark as there is no additional lighting. Would we come back? Definitely ! Would we recommend it to other ? Without hesitation!

I was looking for a basic site between the coast and the broads for something to do with my daughter in the Easter hols - this was perfect, only thing is, I did not notice it was adults only! We were pretty much the only ones on the site and my daughter and I are the quietest campers you could meet (much quieter than any yappy dogs). The site owner had no problem with my mistake and no issue was made out of it, which put me at ease. The site itself was stunning in the afternoon sunshine and sung with song birds, other than that, it was totally silent and therefore perfect for relaxing on. The walk to Mundesley, 3 miles, was refreshing and the broads was only a short drive, so this ticked all boxes well. For site improvement, I'd add another loo/shower as I imagine any more than one camper van would push these facilities (most caravans and motor homes have these facilities on board). In conclusion, very impressed and hope to go back soon.

We were looking for a quiet campsite to spend a few nights whilst introducing our nine month old son to the world of camping and to try out our new awning.

On arriving we were surprised by how remote and intimate the site was but ultimately how well looked after it was.

The owner arrived just as we did and was very helpful with moving an unoccupied van from a spot so we could pitch up on flat ground with plenty of room for the awning.

There are limited facilities on site as in one toilet and shower but both are very well maintained and we didn't have to wait to use the shower once.

There are plenty of nice walks around the area as it's part of the quiet lanes scheme so traffic is at a minimum, we walked to the Gunter arms which is a 4. 5 mile round trip but well worth it for the food and views of the deer on the estate. ( we found out about the pub from the on site information pack )

There is a fishing lake not far from the site for use by speaking to the owner who will direct you there, it's well worth getting up early and wandering down as it's in an idyllic setting, although 4. 30 in the morning won't appeal to everyone!

Overall I would highly recommend this place, the owner couldn't have been more helpful and you are really left to your own devices.

We will definitely hope to return at some point.

Although my experience of campsites are limited I have to say I thought it was of an extremely good standard. Washroom facilities were new looking and clean. There is only 1 shower and loo but they are separate and given it is a small campsite this was acceptable and never caused us any hassle. There were 4 caravans, a trailer tent and two tents, and this is as much as the owner allows. The location is excellent. Our children loved the woods its attached to. There is a soft play area not too far away, very good and cheap. And there are many other attractions close by not to mention Cromer and Sandringham of course. I don't know if there are any shops nearby, we didn't see any, but we loved the location. It was a bit cold for our first experience of camping but if all campsites were like this I would definitely go again. Highly recommended.

Wow what a little gem! A part of me wants to rave about it and another part wants to keep it a secret!

Small out of the way basic campsite in the norfolk countryside on the edge of a wood on which campers are allowed to wander in. Has electric hook up if required (in a tent and didn`t use). Facilities are a small wooden hut style toilet with small sink and next to that a walk in wet room style power shower. Very clean and well kept for a minimal style site. No streetlights or lighting on site, so torches and lanterns are a must. The chap that runs it is great and nothing is too much trouble. He does have a spare fire pit if you need one and for wood pick your own! (i took mine as it had been raining). Lots of footpaths, quiet roads to walk on. Met a group of teens doing their D of E. Very peaceful and quiet. Very dark at night! there is a badgers set closeby and usual woodland wildlife (deer, owls etc). Beautiful location for a hideaway. Pitches level and chemical disposal, ashes bin, etc on site.
