Just got back from a weekend at this campsite.
We stayed there as we were going to an event at Leeds Castle.
When we booked this we did hope to walk from the site - but it is actually to far, and on Roads I would not want to walk on, but it was a short cab ride that cost us about £5. 50 (the site will give you the number for the cab firm). I am adding this info in case anyone else is looking at this site for the same reason - thought it might be useful!
We didn't really notice any noise from the Roads, but then we didn't sit outside much as we were out and about doing stuff.
The site is beautifully kept, although I did feel some pitches were a bit to close together in the middle.
The general facilities are clean and top notch, and although I am not disabled, I did get to see both the disabled toilet and the shower (I notice these things as I have a disabled relative), and I have to say they really were excellent 11 out of 10 on that one!
As there is nothing within walking distance and I personally prefer sites where pitches are some distance apart, I am not sure I would go there for a weeks holiday, however, I would definitely go again for a weekend or if in the area.

Dont let the distant rumble of thunder put you off. Its only the Eurostar dashing through the Kent countryside on its way to the continent. It's not the only thing going abroad. I'm quite sure that many visitors to this site are using it as a stopover to or from a foreign adventure.
I hope they realise that this site is spot on in many ways other than a one nighter. Close to Chartwell, Leeds Castle and Kent County Showground, there is plenty to see in the area and Bearsted provides a lovely space to return to after your days out.
Up to and beyond the usual standards of the Caravan Club even down to Classic FM as an accompaniment to your shower in the morning.
I heard hardly any traffic noise on my long weekend stay, the only thing that put a dampener on things was the deluge on the Saturday that resulted in a few, mine included, flooded pitches.
Pity there isn't a pub close by as I'd be there so often they'd invite me to the staff Christmas bash.

To Find Site:- Leave M20 at junction 8, Maidstone. Take A20 and at roundabout follow signs to Bearstead. The campsite is a few hundred yards along road on left.
Bearstead Caravan Club site came in to the network around 2008, having previously been a commercial site. Non-members are accepted. There are a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches with some of the hardstanding ones being fully serviced. There is only one waste disposal point which is centrally situated on the site.
There are additional water taps placed statically around the campsite. The main site facility building is at the site entrance and contains reception, toilets and showers, laundry and dish wash. In the laundry is the information points.
The toilet/showers are kept immaculate and are of an excellent standard. Reception sells a few essentials. Television reception is classed as poor but the electric bollards do have a TV hook-up. There is site wide Wi-Fi. There is not much on site for children except a small playground in on corner of the site.
This site is an ideal base for exploring this part of Kent. Leeds Castle is almost on the doorstep. Maidstone is only a few miles away. For shopping there are a couple of large supermarkets within 5 miles. For many this will be a stopping off point to and from the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone and the ferries at Dover.

What a beautiful site with first class facilities. Close cut grass round pitches but oh dear you have to pay for this with the constant grass cutting, hay fever suffers beware, not to mention the awful noise these toys for boys make. It is certainly unnecessary to cut the grass as often, perhaps cut it shorter first time, we had two visits from the machine in a week round our pitch.
This site can only be described as noisy due to the 24 hour traffic noise from the M20. It was dreadful.
The Caravan Club should mention this in their handbook - very misleading to members for the club not to mention this 24 hour traffic noise. We were pleased to get home and would not return or recommend this site - a very noisy experience.

Stayed here on route to Dover to break the long journey up and visit friends in Tunbridge, it is absolutely ideal for this as Dover is only 40 mins away and its only 2 mins before you are back on the M20.
Was a very well looked after and peaceful caravan site we have two young children (2 and 5) who enjoyed the play area which was in tip top condition. We liked it so much we booked in for a night for our return trip.
For anyone else taking children the family room is the best we have come across and the kids loved being able to have a bath after two weeks of shower blocks in France.

Stayed here for four nights we have two young children ages 2 & 6 only an hour from home so ideal for quick getaway.
Neat and tidy site, and as with all Caravan Club sites, all facilities spotless and wardens very friendly and helpful.
Small children's play area. On site shop has very basic stock but there are decent shops within a couple of miles. Would not stop here for more than one week.
Leeds Castle is minutes away and always worth a visit. Ideal site for a short break or stop off two and from Dover/folkestone etc.
