We enjoyed our first two night stay so much that we stayed again for another two nights upon our return from the Outer Hebrides. Stunning views, in particular from the pitches near the lochside (pitches 20-22), we had rear windows in our motorhome which was a great benefit in enjoying the views. The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area, the village being only 5 minutes walk from the site and we can recommend the bakery, oldest on the island, for its fruit scones and corn bread. The facilities on site were first class with easy access to the chemical toilet disposal and grey water points and we also made full use of the launderette on site. The ferry port of Uig is only around 60 minutes drive away, along good roads with excellent views.

This was our final site at the end of our Hebridean tour and frankly it was the highlight.

Facilities are immaculate, location is spectacular and the lady who Runs the site is lovely.

The pitches are directly on a sea loch with probably the best view we have ever had from a pitch.

The nearby Old Schoolhouse Restaurant is a must, but ensure you book as it is rightly popular.

We are already planning our return for a longer stay.

Busy site for both tourers and sea kyackers. Good facilities and excellent site for a NW Skye base. Plenty of seals in the close islands off Dunvegan castle area, good arts, pottery and other crafts in the area as well as Neist, Staffin, Waternish, Glendale and Storr closeby. Good facilities and would stay again.

A return visit to this fine site, just as impressive as before. The site was quite busy even at this early stage of the season, but there was still plenty space to pitch the tent well away from others. The recently built facility block is superb. The site has a good open aspect which not only means great views, but also it will benefit from any breezes which might help to discourage the dreaded midges. A great spot altogether.

First visit to this site, and definitely will recommend and return to. Wonderful location, close to village, but very quiet. Every view from our pitch was lovely. The facilities were top notch, spacious showers, plenty of hot water, spotlessly clean. A really friendly welcome from the owner. We could chose our own pitch at the front if we wanted. This is a really nice area of Skye to camp. Also you must visit the wonderful teashop at Elgol, cant remember the name, but it has teapots and action men hanging from the ceiling. The owner plays really calm music and before you know it your miles away, unfortunately we were so relaxed we got up and forgot to pay! the owner calmly mentioned this.

I had stayed here many years ago when it was still fairly basic, and only came this time after discovering the site I had planned to use (at nearby Edinbane) had closed early. It was most pleasant to discover that the site has been greatly upgraded, with a first class new facility block. There was ample space to find a good spot for my tent, with a fine view down the loch and across to McLeod's Tables. When I arrived there was a good number of visitors, several on return visits, which must tell its own story. The site owners were very welcoming and helpful. The location was first class, with great views as already mentioned, and an easy stroll to Dunvegan village; I thoroughly recommend the fruit scones ( especially the blackcurrant ones!) from 'Skye's Oldest Bakery'. Dunvegan Castle is within easy reach, and the site proved to be a good base for exploring Glendale, and even over to the Quiraing and Staffin. A planned overnight stay stretched to three nights in total. From now on, Kinloch Camp Site will certainly be my campsite of choice in the north of Skye; thoroughly recommended!
