What a find on our first visit to Skye, a lovely site at end of Dunvegan Loch, with superb views down the loch length from our pitch alongside the water. A very warm welcome from the owners in their first full season, chatty, informative and extremely helpful. As stated by others, the village has many 'local' facilities. In our five day stay on Skye, we visited Dunvegan Castle, Skye main town Portree, and a full day touring round top north east corner of island, Old Man of Storr, Staffin, the Aird of Skye, Uig etc. , a lovely circular drive in what for this time of year was fantastic weather. Another visit to nearby Neist Point lighthouse. He island. I can strongly recommend this site.

This is one of the best campsites we have ever stayed on.

The new owners are welcoming and helpful ( including lending us a hook up cable when I managed to destroy ours)

Most of the pitches are level and well-spaced.

The site is alongside the loch and is very peaceful.

Good loo block and hot showers.

A 15 minute walk into the small town with bakery, post office, grocery store, petrol station and castle all nearby.

Would definitely recommend it especially for walkers - we didn't need to move our camper for a few days as there were plenty of walks straight from the site.

Another return to a campsite with great facilities and a fine location which I've enjoyed in the past. However it is unlikely that I will return. I was made to feel less than welcome by the person at reception, who greeted me with a list of prohibitions. This in stark contrast to the reception I have had in the past. Had it been earlier in the day I would have gone elsewhere. My 'welcome' may have been an exception, but, if not, a better attitude is needed to encourage folk to return. Possibly the first time ever that I have not had a comment along the lines of 'Hope you enjoy your stay. '

We booked earlier on in the year which was lucky as the site was full booked on arrival. Check in was quick and the owner provided information about the site and village amenities.

Our pitch over looked the Loch and had stunning views. Although the site was busy there was still room between pitches and the layout meant that the majority of the pitches also had amazing views.

Showers and toilets did get quite busy and at times we had to queue but were clean.

Wifi was available near to the office but with the number of people trying to access it was very slow.

We enjoyed a visit to Dunvegan Castle & gardens (approx 30min walk from the site), and paid the additional fee for the seal trip which was great fun and we were lucky enough to see around 100 seals!

Around 4 miles further on from the castle is the white coral beach, with clear blue water it's worth a visit.

In Dunvegan itself we visited the Old School House restaurant, which whilst not cheap served fabulous seafood and was definitely worth the treat.

All in all I would recommend both the site and Dunvegan and will hopefully return in the future.

Busy site, very friendly and helpful owners. The site is right by the water and so lovely views of the loch and surrounding hills.

Good, clean facilities. Insects were sometimes a bit intrusive. Free WiFi through Purple Portal, only available around the reception area - in the evening you need to cover up if you are standing still for too long because of the midges.

Dunvegan is a quiet village but has a good choice of places to eat. The castle is at the opposite end of the village, about 1. 5 miles away; we enjoyed our visit there very much.

Beautiful location, my second site after moving from Glen brittle. I much preferred this site as it was quieter although quite a few people here. Excellent facilities though timing is important as there are queues at popular times. The view over the loch with the sunset fabulous! Loved the nearby restaurant and bakery top quality food. Reservation vital. Dunvegan is a lovely little village with a shop, garage, post office (ATM) and pub plus several B & B's I would stay here again.
