We arrived a bit later than planned, but the staff booked us in quickly and sent us around to our plot. 106 with a bit of a sea view (only in our case it was a view of mist and murk!)
The site is very clean with at least three shower blocks, only problem we found was the water in the showers was too hot!
Found the shop to be very good and our kids made use of the tennis net and play area. Or dog loved her run down to the beach, especially once we found some sunshine!
We walked along the cliff and down to the beach, via a very steep dune, and looped right round into West Runton where we found a great Cafe called Clementines, really good vegi options and if you call ahead will try to cater for any diet needs. My wife said it was the best vegi breakfast she had ever had!
Worth visiting Sherringham which is just down the road and also the priory Maze and garden Centre.
A very good stay which was value for money and we are planning to go again later this year.

Just spent half term week here and we stayed on a fully serviced pitch. Nice site, clean, good toilets and shower facilities. Did see some queueing for the family baths and shower rooms. Shop adequate but expensive ( 5mins walk to village shop). It looked quite cramped on the main fields without many pathways. WIFI free but very poor. Road noise was quite bad for those pitches that back onto the fence. Lovely walk/cycle along the cliff to the beach (15mins walk). Big play area for the kids and a big field for ball games. Not a lot for the kids (6&7) to do in Cromer or Sheringham in the evening. Wouldnt stay again but only as we would prefer an area with more to do.

We stayed here over May bank holiday 2013 and loved it, really nice atmosphere and a great weekend.
The Good: Spacious pitches, brilliant location, really good value for money, good customer service. Plenty of showers and sinks (the site was full and we didn't have to queue much)
The not so good: Not much really, but although the site overlooks the beach, it's a bit of a walk to get to it. My girlfriend didn't think the showers were clearly marked enough but I didn't agree. Also some pitches (ours included) are quite near the main road so a passing motorbike can wake you momentarily at 2am.
If you go, make sure you head to the hill at the rear of the site for sunset. A few people normally congregate there around this time and whilst I'm not normally that taken with sunsets it's pretty spectacular. Best enjoyed with a cold beer. Also Cromer is about a 50 minute walk away along the beach if you head to East Runton village and follow the road to the beach from there but we preferred to head to West Runton (turn left at the cliff edge and follow it for 15 minutes or so)to make the walk a bit longer. On a sunny day it's absolute bliss.
One of the things we like about Norfolk is its less crowded and less expensive than Devon/Cornwall and this place is no exception.
We'll be back!

We have just returned from a week's stay here over the May half term. The campsite is in a fantastic location on the cliffs - unfortunately it was quite a windy week but it was worth it for the sunsets which are to die for.
The striking thing about the campsite was how quiet it was from about 10pm when most people had settled for the night and no early morning noise either.
We opted for a premium pitch after reading the reviews here suggesting we would be better away from the road noise. Although there was plenty of space the site was on a slope which made it uncomfortable sleeping and the contents of our tent invariably slid to the bottom. We were disappointed with this as we hadn't been warned and would probably have stuck with a standard pitch had we known. I think there are some level premium pitches so it might be worth asking if you are thinking of upgrading.
The showers and toilets were adequate but generally pretty cool in the mornings and each cubicle opened directly to outside so made for a slightly uncomfortable start to the day as the weather was cool. I'm sure they are fine if you get good summer weather.
The kids loved the playground which was immaculate and well laid out. We didn't use the shop much but stocked sweets which pleased the children!
It is easy to walk along to Cromer and saves the hassle of parking and we had a nice pub meal in The Village in West Runton with lots of space if you are in a bigger party.
Although we enjoyed our stay we would probably look to stay elsewhere next time we visit the area

Stayed in Woodhill 29th and 30th April 2013, The staff are friendly, very welcoming and have an excellent customer service approach.
The site is very clean, well laid out and pitches are well marked. Fresh water points with waste water and rubbish bins are well sited. We found the toilets and showers excellent, very clean, and lots of hot water. The site is well placed and a walk to East Runton will give you access to the beach and a good walk to Cromer and back. Sheringham is 5 minutes by car the other direction and is well worth a visit.
Would we stay here again, absolutely, it is a great site to spend a few days to explore the area.

We had asked for large serviced pitches and got exactly what we asked for right by all the facilities, toilet block and shop etc.
There were plenty of toilets and although the site busy as bank holiday weekend and half term, we had to wait occasionally for a shower but this was not really an issue. There was also a number of sinks in cubicles if you wanted a wash in private, nice idea. They were not spotless but with the amount of users it wasn't 'dirty' and I saw the cleaners a number of times coming in and out checking toilet paper etc.
The shop was well stocked and the free range eggs were gorgeous and reasonably priced, I also had to purchase gloves for the family (typical British weather) and these were reasonable too.
The site is large and the large play area for the children was great, we walked along the cliff tops into west runton beach which was lovely and Cromer was a 5/10 minute drive, which is also lovely - we have visited many times.
My only criticism, is the lack of any sort of flexibility with check out, we had to have our pitch clear by 10. 30am which I think is a little early, and when I asked if we could stay on later if they didn't have anyone coming on, they didn't check they just said point blank 'no it is a strict 10. 30 leave time' - very minor but having had flexibility on other smaller sites I found this a bit impersonal. Having said this it would not stop me using again.
We had a lovely time and would use again.
