Great site with fantastic views over the haven
We have a 7.2m touring caravan and getting to the site off the main road was scary, so if you have a large caravan or motor home then take caution. The road is single track and has stone walls and quite bendy so very hard to manoeuvre to get to the site and if you met anything coming the other way not sure what you would do luckily we did not!
The site is clean tidy toilet blocks very good clean and tidy and staff couldn't help enough.
We had a pitch up high with. Gorgeous view of the haven and in march we had lovely weather by coincidence.
Lots of places to visit Newport Pembs, Fishguard, Solva for the beach and coastal walks along the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
Great food in Newport Pembs just up the road if you fancy a meal out
I would recommend this site but take care re the single track road off the main road.

Excellent site - one of the best. Tremendous cliff-top situation, beautiful (and clean) facilities, friendly staff, and great views. We stayed on a very windy night, but the shelter provided by the wall/hedges in the main camp area (tent) was very effective at keeping us sheltered.
The Puffin Pantry mobile fish and chips (two nights a week at time of writing) provide some of the best fish and chips you will get anywhere.
Can't fault any of it! I just wish more sites were like this.

Nice site in a lovely position. Very useful shop and well stocked.
Beware the advice to arrive in the afternoon is for a reason, the access road is a single track with no passing places.
If you are in a motorhome this may not be the site to use as once you are there you are stuck.
We had a small concrete pitch surrounded by tents. The site states 6 metres between pitches, does not happen we had tents both sides within 2 metres of us.
They state dogs must be kept on a lead, but this did not happen dogs roamed everywhere with no policing by the owners.
Management response: The pitch that is mentioned is actually a pleasant pitch that many of our regular motor caravanners specifically ask for. We have attached two pictures of it which show its location on the park.

There are tent pitches each side of the pitch, as can be seen in the pictures. We work hard to maintain a six metre gap between tents and/or motor caravans. Customers on arrival are given an information leaflet stating the gap between tents etc. And we regularly check to ensure this gap is maintained. All pitches are marked out to help ensure the gap is adhered to.
The access road is quite narrow. It is a council adopted road and does have several passing places, some of which are capable of allowing two motor caravans to pass each other. Indeed, this access road enables 40' x 12' static holiday caravans to come down to the park on caravan transporters. Each year we have many motor caravanners who return to the park, some have been here on several occasions over a number of years.
We have a strict 'dogs on a lead' policy on the park and are quick to talk to any dog owners should they not adhere to this. Our reception is manned from 8:00am to 8:00pm this time of year (late July and August) and a report of any dog roaming would be dealt with quickly.

This was a return visit for us, having visited for 10 days in August 2010, we wanted to go back as we hadn't fully explored the area and our children also fell in love with the site and Pembrokeshire.
This year we came with Aunty and two cousins and had adjacent pitches. The site was much quieter than two years ago (maybe because of the Olympics?) but even when it was busy it was still fabulous. The first 3 days and 2 nights were lovely but then the weather moved in and the next 2 nights were very windy and wet, and as we were going to have to leave early anyway due to our eldest having broken her nose on the first day, the weather meant we left a day earlier than planned.
The staff are always around, are very helpful and we just love the clean, warm facilities which are available with hot water all day and night at no extra cost. The first time we visited, the washers and dryers were very handy.
The added bonus of somewhere indoors to go was fab, especially when trying to pack up in strong gusty winds and rain; the 5 children went in the games room and we could get on with it.
We will definitely return for a 3rd visit sometime.

We stayed for a week at Fishguard Bay over June half term. We would have no hesitation in recommending this site to anyone. The staff were always helpful and polite and although we had no cause for assistance they appeared to be on-hand if necessary. The site benefits from spectacular views over Fishgaurd and Goodwick with most if not all pitches benefiting from seaviews. Its situation is ideal for visiting the many beautiful bays and beaches. St David's is in reasonable distance as is the Iron Age Fort at Castell Henllys, both worth a visit. The campsite facilities including toilet block, washing up area and laundry room are excellent and extremely well kept. There are also microwaves and freezer facilities for ice blocks. Children are well catered for with a games room and outdoor play area. The shop is well stocked and during our stay, open 8am-8pm Mon-Sat (also open Sunday but slightly reduced hours). We were also fortunate enough to benefit from the 'Puffin Pantry' mobile fish and chip bar which visited the site a number of evenings during our stay. Freshly cooked fish and chips etc. Made to order and reasonably priced - excellent! Needless to say one visit was not enough!

Arrived on the Thursday to spectacular views, and some amazing flat pitches, The forecast for the night was not good with high winds expected and the kind gentleman on site showed us around a few available pitches whilst explaining the best shelter and direction of proposed wind. We settled on a pitch by the sea edge behind some hedges!
On checking the facilities they were by far the best, cleanest, warmest and most fully equipped we have ever seen! Showers and toilets were immaculate, shop was extremely well stocked with everything you could ever need, great games room, TV lounge was cos, and it had brilliant dish washing and laundry facilities - all really roomy too to accommodate plenty of people at once.
The site was very well maintained and above all the people from the site who looked after us were really, really lovely.
So not a bad review for a family who only stayed around 16 hours of their 4 day holiday due to being caught up in the recent severe storms with 70 MPH winds and heavy rain! We did rescue our tent from too much damage after waking up at 6 in the morning to it nearly being ripped out of the ground but, 1 snapped pole and a ripped groundsheet will 100% not stop us from going back to this amazing site to enjoy it properly. If a caravan had been available we would have evacuated to that instead!
