Just returned from a Bank Holiday weekend stay and Green Lane Farm Caravan and Camping Site. The site comprised of two fields, each with about 20 pitches. The pitches are a good size, measuring about 10 * 10 and out 9. 5m tent fitted fine.
There are only 3 ladies toilets and 2 showers for the site and I assume the mens are the same. Those in the second field are in porta-cabin, however all where clean and I only really had to queue when I took my clan to the loo.
There are also two indoor sinks for cleaning dished and these too are clean. Only problem was the pull door, not easy when carrying pots and pans.
There is a play area in the middle of each field and these are great for the kids. There are also picnic tables and seats about the place.
We did find the site noisy at night with music on until 11:30 and when mentioned to the warden, who was located in a motorhome in the second field, I was just told that he had not heard anything and I was left feeling I had been making a fuss.
The site owner was very helpful and even lent us some gas when we ran out.
There are no shops or pubs near by. There is a Lidl and Tesco in Whitchurch, a few miles away.
There are plenty of things to do in the area and we visited Hawkstone park.

We chose this site as we had children with us and it is perfect for them. Good play areas and space to run around. They made friends with the other children there and really enjoyed themselves. Pitch sizes were ok and had hook up. The toilets and showers were very clean and modern.
There are plenty of places to visit nearby, we went to the ice cream farm at Tattenhall which was only 30 mins away.
This is a very child friendly site that we would return to with our children.

A Lovely site. We came to this site after being to Whitchurh the year before. We were put opposite the play area, which was really good. The only slight issue was that there was only one toilet for males and one for females and a disabled on our field and same on other field. This was only a problem once (Stayed a week. )as it never got madly busy. The showers were really nice and hot.
The local area was lovely and there was plenty to do, if anything could do with more eating places. Highly recommend the Willeymoor Lock Tavern about one and a half miles north of Whitchurh. Would recommend this site to anyone.

This our second visit to Green Lane Farm, and they have expanded into a second field. In the first field is the main toilet block, which also houses the dish washing facilities, the second has a temporary toilet block. For the ladies there are in total two showers and three toilets, plus disabled facilities, and I believe the men have the same. There are two dish washing sinks, which are indoors.
Both toilet blocks are clean and of a high standard, but the main block kept running out of hot water. The temporary block on the second field has an electric shower, and consequently there were queues for it. We had to boil a kettle to do our dishes each morning, which is far from ideal.
There are play facilities on each field, and these are also of a high standard and well maintained. There is space for football, and lots of room for the kids to run around.
There seem to be a lot of regulars, some with seasonal pitches, and they could be a bit noisy at times, though this wasn't a problem for us.
The site was full and there had been a lot of rain, so there were cones scattered about the grass to protect damaged areas, which made driving in and out quite difficult. It was easy to see where we couldn't drive, but far harder to work out where we could!
They don't take card payments, cash or cheque only.
We visited Hawkstone Follies and Colemere Country Park, both of which were good days out, but we didn't see any tourist information at the site, and did our research using mobile phones.
There are shops in nearby Prees and Whitchurch.
Overall it's a nice site, but not amazing, which is a shame because the owners have obviously invested in it. We will probably visit again, but that's because the location suits us and not because the site wowed us.

Booked this site for a weekend away and we live about 30 minutes drive away, really nice set out site with a kids area in the middle. Little football pitch as well which I'm sure adult will enjoy to.
On arrival pitched where we wanted and went and found the owner who was friendly and helpful. As it was wet and in September the site was quiet apart from what looked like a couple of long term caravans. Our 3 year old loved the play area and space to run around in. The toilet/ shower block looked new but were immaculate and cleaned regularly, really good as it was so wet.
Local town is Whitchurch which is a lovely and old quaint town with a tesco in, highly recommended to visit.
The only slight point to note is its 6amp hookup so you can use a tv but will not a normal kettle. We will definitely use again as it was so nice and local to us for a weekend away from home!

We just spent the weekend at green lane farm with our four children aged7, 5, 19 moths, 5 months. We found the owners very friendly and helpful.
Our caravan was situated opposite the play area which was really good as we could relax and watch kids play.
The toilet and shower facilities were lovely and clean, and there was a washing up facility that had free hot water.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!
