Visited this site with 17 month old granddaughter. It was low season but due to the exceptionally good weather the park was full. In light of this you would expect some flexibility towards providing a service accordingly. This review is written as a family with a young active infant. If you have juniors I am sure you will not have the same experience or reflection.

On arrival we were shown to our pitch after setting up the caravan and pitching the awning we noted a rather nasty smell of dog poo. It was all over the awning floor trod in from the grassed area. The warden stated that they had had a lot of this lately!. Nice, glad the warden realised they were there to provide a service.

With a small child, we needed the use of the family rooms, you should have been able to hire a key for 5 deposit - you couldn't the warden only had one set of keys so you had to search for a warden if you wanted to use the family bathroom. On reporting these issues to the main desk we told that we should be able to have a key and that the warden was supposed to check the pitch! I would suggest that resort managers might like to re-educate wardens of the policy.

Cost cutters: No suntan lotion, apparently it was the fault of the resort managers of course resort managers said it was the fault of cost cutters. Food over priced and a poor selection considering the camp was full.

Brean Leisure Park, this was sold off a few years ago. Facilities are good but! Swimming pools closed at peculiar times and not allowing families to enter during some heavy wet weather. Managers without the ability to be flexible or manage 'they were not wrong, just doing me job its more that me jobs worth to get you in out of the rain'

The night club RJs, had some good entertainment for little ones and the kids entertainers were nice. But the Bar staff were surly and miserable, must have been a long season.

The beach. Sea goes out a very long way, you cant walk out to it due to quick sand, it came in at 6 am and again at 8, 30pm not ideal with a little one. When it did come in it was very warm.

Toilets clean and tidy.

Play area, no facilities for tots on the camp. Okay for juniors though.

Sadly there were some campers that I would not want to share a camp site with again thank you. Will we go again? No thank you.

We were meant to stay 3 nights but left after 1 night, partially due to sick child and poor weather forecast for remaining stay but also partially due to behaviour of other campers.

The site is massive, but well laid out and the pitch was generous, flat and well maintained. The warden was very friendly and helpful on arrival. The toilet and shower block was excellent, probably the best I've ever used to be honest.

The only issue we had was that a large number of fellow campers could be best described as 'a bit rough'. A trailer tent next to ours had the TV blaring out til well after midnight, couples were returning to their tents/caravans from the clubs arguing with car doors being slammed, bad language etc, mothers screaming non-stop at their out of control kids. It was quite entertaining for a bit but not pleasant! By the playground kids ran riot and there wasn't an adult to be seen as kids as young as 3 or 4 were left unattended.

We only had time to visit the entertainment complex once but the kids enjoyed the puppet/magic show that was on. Food was pretty poor in the Bucket and Spade club, 6 for a supermarket budget brand pizza. Staff were great though. Didn't get chance to use the Splash Park which was a shame as we were looking forward to that.

In short, can't fault the park or it's staff but unfortunately it seems to attract some (not by any means all) rough folk. Won't be going back unfortunately.

HRU is a well maintained clean site with a shop and take aways on site. We stayed on a pitch with electric hookup and the showers were clean and hot. There was washing up facilities and a launderette. Children's play areas and fishing pools.

The park is situated next to brean splash and brean leisure park with just a short walk to the beach.

Overall a great family park with plenty to do on and off the site and excellent value for money. Will certainly be returning in the future.

Got to be one of the best sites we have been too, and we have been to a lot! Everything you could need is here, swimming pool, funfair, great size pitches on the yellow field, the staff are happy and helpful, the toilet block has shower cubicles with their own loo and sink inside, there are several bars to use, and the drink prices are not a ripoff like most sites we have been to, we will be going back again.

This is a great site that we enjoy visiting as we have been here a few times before.

We camped on the Green field which has all the usual EHU, water taps for each pitch etc. The toilet facilities were a let down though, I think this was more down to the lack of caring from other site users as it was not down to the lack of effort from the field wardens as they seemed to be in the toilet blocks constantly cleaning.

Near the Green field is a good playground for the kids which mine enjoyed going to, there is also a couple of areas for them to play football.

We spent a couple of evenings in RJ's which was ok, the show that was put on was the exact same as last May which was a little disappointing. As mentioned in other reviews, if you want a seat then you need to get there early.

Spent one afternoon in the indoor swimming pool, this has been updated within the last year as they now have a second pool which is more geared around younger children having small slides etc that my 8 and 7 year olds really enjoyed. 14 for a family of 4 was very reasonable in my opinion.

If you turn right out of the site and drive for a mile or so, you can drive your car onto the Beach, make sure you take note of the high and low tides as you get the following warning 'At low tide a wide exposure of soft sand and mud is exposed leading to the water's edge, but note that it is very dangerous to approach the water at low tide.

I would imagine we would go again, but probably not on a Bank Holiday weekend.

Great site with plenty of things to do within walking distance.

Pitches are a good size with your own electric hook up, water and drainage on Yellow field which we always book.

The kiddies indoor play is excellent and cheap to get in and decent food. Not a huge selection but enough for a bite to eat while the kid(s) play. Haven't tried the indoor pool yet but looks nice enough and the weather has never been warm enough for the outdoor every time I've been.

Funfair, shops, crazy golf, bars, food and beach all within walking distance so plenty to keep you entertained.

Nice clubhouse with good entertainment but get there early during peak to get a seat. It gets very busy.

The food in the clubhouse is excellent!

It's a little bit pricier than the other sites in the area but you get what you pay for.
