One night this week. 21 for hook-up, 2 adults, 2 kids and motorhome. Small site but really nice and quiet.

Good reception with plenty of info.

Toilet block small but very clean and plenty of hot water. Real showers too !

Went for dinner at Stronlossit Inn. Not much happening and menu was a little small. Main courses of 2 different venison dishes, burger and fish, a pudding, and drinks. 51. Sufficient and flavoursome without being very good.

Great, well thought out, well maintained campsite. This is surprisingly refreshing price in comparison to some of the others round Fort William as well and in a much nicer location. Small with just two fields but the grass is well maintained and there is perfect wash facilities.

Showers were lovely and hot and plentiful with a plug for your hair dryer, toilets well cleaned, freezer to freeze your ice block as well as drying room after a day out in the wet. There are books and information and games to borrow for free and you can use their wifi for 20 minutes for free.

Lots of water taps around the site so you never have to go far. Walking distance to local pub (although we didn't use it) and easy driving distance to mountains and Fort William Morrisons.

You can walk your dog out of the bottom of the site along the river for them to have a wade in during better weather but be prepared for the midges that plague Scotland. We found Avon skin so soft and burning a citronella candle worked for us. However I would say this site didn't have as many midges as some of the others we went to so a huge plus for us!

Lovely site run by lovely people who could not have been more helpful on either of our visits!

Good level pitches, good toilets and showers (and a small drying room), lovely location not too far from Spean Bridge/Roybridge and Fort William.

Short walk from the Railway station, and with access to the river at the bottom of the campsite.

The only slight downside to the site is that it can be a bit midgey on occasions, however if you are heading up to the Scottish Highlands you are probably quite accepting of this fact anyhow! The site does have midge machines.

Would Thoroughly recommend.

We chose Bunroy based on the UKCampsite.co.uk reviews and we were not disappointed. The site is quite bijou and is about half a mile down a secluded wooded road off the main Glen Spean drag.

It is right next to the River Spean which is wide and slow at this point. The toilet block is clean and has two big shower cubicles in each side. Pot wash is two sinks just outside under a shelter. Hot water is free for showers and dishes.

The caravan pitches seem good sized and have white gravel bases. Tents have two fields surrounded by hedges and trees. Ground is firm but takes pegs well. Radio/TV is not good if you use it but there is internet which gives you a free 20 mins to download email.

Because of its size it is not crowded and the staff seem helpful and friendly. It is on our list to revisit next year.

Great site, beautiful surroundings and wildlife abundant. Facilities excellent, clean and lots of hot water. Drying room and freezer for use, owners even offer to charge mobiles, cameras etc.

Great spot for touring local countryside, and close to local train line for exploring a bit further afield.

Good pitches and midge eater machines installed which seemed to work.

We stayed for 9 days and were very sorry to leave, will definitely return.

We had a one night stop over on the way to the Isle of Skye. We had a hard standing pitch just at the entrance to this small campsite next to the facilities block which was very clean and had the added bonus of a small and very warm drying room (like a small wardrobe), fridge, freezer and laundry. We purchased Wifi online (first 20 minutes free!)

There are two levels - the upper is small and all hard standing (with EHU) and the lower is larger with a mixture of hard standing (with EHU) and grass pitches for tents. There are also a number of camping 'huts'.

The owners or wardens were very friendly and helpful and not intrusive - they left us to get on with things. The campsite is situated in quiet surroundings: there was no road or railway noise just bird song! The surrounding mountains can be seen from the campsite which made for a beautiful backdrop - it was good weather! There is no children's play area which didn't matter to us on a one night stop over.

The village of Roy Bridge is close by and we took the path along the River Roy to it which was a pleasant ten minute walk (the river is interesting in itself and we happened to be next to the railway when the Caledonian Sleeper went by at a snails pace). There is a small shop in the village, a playground, a pub, an RC Church and that's about it!

As a base for exploring the region (it is very close to the Nevis mountain range) this campsite will be good for couples or families with much older children. It is also ideal for a one night stopover for going further north into the Highlands or further south.
