It's the location that makes this site so good - next to a huge field to play in (mind the cows, a great little town ( I think you can get pretty much everything between the supermarket, excellent butchers, hardware shop, & kebab shop, not to mention lots of others!), lots of good pubs, and beautiful walks along the river to lots more pubs.

The site has been a bit busy in previous years, but this had improved on our last visit. Plenty of loos but showers are limited, avoid peak shower times & you'll be fine. Although cleaned regularly, bear in mind it is the campers that make the mess!

We have always had great fun here, & we'll be back soon.

Good site for adults & children - lots to do in the area if the weather is iffy - I was taken to the Cotswold Wildlife Park & had a wonderful time. Fantastic site for Fairford Air Show but book well in advance, we've only managed to get in once.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon for a one night stay. The staff weren't particularly friendly but gave us directions to our pitch and a list of rules which were a little terse!

The site is quite small but with ample space between pitches and it is very flat so no need for ramps. Dogs are allowed and no charge is made for them (we have two) whereas on some sites we have been charged.

To get to the town you need to either walk along the road (no footpath) or negotiate the stile and work across a field. The stile is rather high and rather muddy on each side (wellies advised) but the dogs managed to go underneath quite easily.

The town of Lechlade is very pretty and well worth a wander. There are lots of nice looking pubs and restaurants. We ate at the Riverside Inn and were very pleased with the food which was excellent value. We ate in the garden but under an awning to avoid the rain. The view of the river is lovely and the boats and swans make an interesting backdrop.

We have our own loo and shower so didn't use the camp facilities and therefore can't comment on these. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would visit again if in the area.

The site has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and consists of an open field which allowed us to camp where we liked as a group. The showers and loos were clean and seemed quite new, the showers nice and hot and although there was only two I never saw a queue and it was a busy July weekend. There was a washing up area and small laundry room but we didn't use either as we only stayed one night.

The site is a short walk to the town of Lechlade (5mins) for supplies and pubs. The only slight downside is the stile you have to cross - it requires a certain amount of agility! There is a small supermarket for all you would need, a cash machine and bank and a choice of pubs. We tried the Riverside Inn - good food and good beer and a nice beer garden by the river.

All in all a good trip and would return!

We stayed at this site for 4 days in May. It's a large field with plenty of space yet cosy with a warm and friendly staff.

The facilities are clean and basic, with a few small showers and dish washing area and small coin operated laundry.

The location is good as it is just a easy stroll to the village which has several pubs and restaurants along with a supermarket which is well equipped for your cold beers, cold wine and BBQ supplies.

The only down side was the road which is busy at times with a lot of bike noise.

The proximity to the river and town is the main thing in this site's favour. That's not to say there's anything wrong with the site - it's clean and tidy, with good security and very helpful owners.

The field is a bit lumpy, which might bother tenters, but was fine for us. As previously mentioned, the stile is quite high, so you need to be reasonably agile for this site, but as long as you can manage this it's a haven for people like us who just like to 'wander' and don't need bells and whistles.

We will definitely be returning. The prices are per person (£7 this year), so cheap if you're a lone traveller.

The site is small and well kept you will need to book as it does get busy in the holiday time and around the time of the air show.

Within easy reach of the town 10mins and the river Thames path.

There is a real ale pub in town where they brew their own beer, forgot the name but cant miss it straight across at the lights.

The toilets are small the showers are free could do with more pressure dish washing facilities really good.

The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Have stayed at this site many times over the years always been good tried to stay last bank holiday but they were full. Only £7 a night
