Lovely, well laid out site, very clean with a lovely dog walk. The shower block was very clean with plentiful hot water and thankfully more than one hook in the cubicles, there is also the added bonus of some rooms which have a key code and contain a toilet, wash hand basin, shower and everything else you could want. The area is extremely interesting and good for touring. Fish and chip visiting is a real bonus and they are really good.

This site is very very well kept everything is spotless. There is a good dog walking field and the surrounding area is stunning with beautiful beaches and the most beautiful church at St. Just-in-Roseland. However we found the on site shop lacking somewhat, you had to order bread the day before (none kept on shelves) and very little else available to buy and if you want a site where you can keep yourself to yourself then this ones for you as we didn't find the people here very friendly. So we will not be going back which is a shame. Also if you have a dog like ours that is frightened of loud noises then be warned, when we were there there was a bird scarer going off from 6.30am till 8.30pm so came home with one very stressed dog!

Our first visit to Trethem Milll and hopefully not our last. This site is excellent in every way. Our pitch was large and immaculately maintained. The new shower rooms were spotlessly clean. Did some lovely walks from the campsite to St Just in Roseland, Portscathough and St Mawes along the creek. Some stunning scenery along the way. We even got close to a buzzard. The site was peaceful except for the children playing in the play area.

We have just returned from 2 wks at Trethem Mill and it really is deservedly 5 star ! Spotlessly clean, we loved the 3 new wetrooms which should really be family rooms as I couldn't understand it when I saw blokes coming out with a newspaper under their arm and no towel ?! why can't they use the block?! inconsiderate. Anyways, we had a great spacious pitch at the top of the site away from the playpark. The dogwalk meadow was lovely. The lane approach was very very narrow but very quiet so it wasn't a problem when we arrived or left with the caravan. But there are a lot of lanes in Cornwall! The chip van was fab. Used it every sat and wed whilst there and spent almost 100 ! best fish n chips ever ! We went out every day travelling about. Used the King Harry Ferry 3x which costs 8 rtn Loved Falmouth and Mevagissy. Lovely walk at St Antonys Head. Nice quiet beaches at Towan and Pendower. Great rock pools. Not much at St Mawes (should be called St Less!) we had to shop at big stores at Truro (aldi or sains) and Falmouth (asda, sains) got ripped off at Ralph's in Portscathough only bought a few bits and it cost 17 ! It really is a pretty area and much less touristy than St Ives where we went one day which was horrible as there were about a million people there crammed into the tiny streets, couldn't wait to leave and get back to the tranquillity of the Roseland !

This was only our second campsite visited as we are new to camping and we had found the first to be very good but Trethem Mill was even better. The directions made the site easy to find, we received a friendly welcome and were offered a choice of 2 pitches both of which were very spacious.

Our first visit to the toilet block found it to be spotless even though it was half way through the afternoon.

We stayed for 15 nights and found the site to meet all our needs. The dog walking area was a bonus for our border terrier who made lots of new friends.

The information given for the area and Cornwall was invaluable as were the very efficient washing machines and the ice pack freezing facilities.

A very slight negative (and only very slight) is that the grass pitches are on a bit of a hill and we pitched on a slight slope meaning our inflatable was at an angle but that might very well have been a pitching error as we are new to this.

All in all a brilliant site. Thank you Trethem Mill, you are going to be a hard act to follow so I expect we'll be back.

We spent the middle two weeks of June at this site and enjoyed our stay.

We totally agree with everything said previously about the site.

The downside for us was that it is in an area which if you're a biker or a walker you'll be in heaven. For us being neither of these left access to many places out of reach.

The narrow lane up to the site is precarious and a strategically placed pair of mirrors at the entrance would not go amiss. Twice we nearly had the front of our car taken off by a recklessly driven van.

It's in an area where there's only one road in and one road out and that gets very tedious after a while. The alternative is the very expensive King Harry ferry - 5. 00 one way or 8. 00 return. It does save a good number of miles and a certain amount of time but the cost doesn't equate with the amount of diesel you use.

All in all a great site but not over enamoured with the area. Won't go back.
