Great site with excellent views close to the ferry terminal. Probably the best site on the island. Good clean facilities and the site is well cared for too. Local pub close by for meals as well as the tourist information centre for the Island. Also there is a Spar shop by the ferry terminal but the Spar shop at Salen is better (stays open later)and there is a good Co Op in Tobermory. Would stay again when over for the Mull Car Rally. Also a good location for exploring the delightful island of Mull.

A very large site with all the facilities, including pre-errected tents, catering for the masses. Not the sort of place we would select by choice and at £16. 50 pppn expensive too. Loads of toilets, showers and washing up tents. Several tv and socialising tents and even drying tents.

It is close to the ferry port so ideal for arrival and departure. The views from the top site are spectacular and the sunrise is worth getting up for! The pitches are 'carpet' over gravel. Sturdy metal pegs are available from the reception if you run on lightweight plastic.

The local pub is friendly and does food. The Inverlussa mussel farm sells a 2kg bag for £2. 00. Wow. The local shop is expensive, better to head up to Salen.

This site has everything some campers want. Unfortunatley most of the facilities were wasted on us but you still have to pay for them!

The location was excellent. Just a few minutes drive from the ferry terminal at Craignure which is perfect for those sailing from Oban to Craignure. Buses leave from Craignure regularly although we didn't use them the wardens did advice on public transport when asked. Craignure is an excellent location to stay in to explore both Tobermory and the isle of Iona. There is a tourist information office near by with leaflets of places to visit.

The views from the campsite were spectacular. There is a choice of camping on the bottom of the campsite were you can park your car near your tent or camping higher up where the views are better but cars have to be parked a short walk from the tents. We opted for the views. We were still allowed our car at our pitch for loading and unloading. Unfortunately we didn't see any otters or seals, etc. But the views across to the mainland were amazing.

The pitches are astroturf which made the pitches a little hard (we were glad we had picnic blankets to use as tent carpets). We do have sturdy tent pegs so it wasn't a problem for pitching. I would recommend to anyone going here who uses the pegs that came with their tent to look into upgrading them before coming here. The astroturf pitches were too small for our tent though we were adviced of the best pitches for our tent size and allowed to choose the one we wanted. We did end up too close to our neighbours. These pitches were ideal for a smaller tent than ours but no one seemed to mind our tent spilling over onto the grass. Most of the pitches are sheltered from the wind though when gale force winds were up to 44 mph (apparently this is very rare here) we ended up putting two extra pegs on each rope and taking our tunnel extension down.

There is a large community tent with washing up facilities, a TV, a wood burning stove, a kettle, a freezer for campers' iceblocks and a freezer for the campsite's iceblocks which campers could borrow at no extra charged. We were allowed to cook on our small stove which made things so much easier after our tunnel came down. We were also given permission to light the wood burning stove. There's a community campfire just outside this tent too.

Showers are free. Like with many campsites I'm not convinced there's enough toilets and showers for the size of the campsite but we never had to queue and they were always very clean.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

There is a spar near the campsite but it is very expensive and I would advice buying as many supplies in Oban before going to Mull. There are other spars on the island which are slightly cheaper and there is a small coop in Tobermory. There is a cashpoint machine in the pub near by as well as in some of the spars on the island and at Tobermory. Petrol wasn't as expensive as we expected and was about the same price across the whole island.

We did enjoy staying at this campsite and do plan to go there again next year.

Location and views were absolutely first class. We were pitched on the upper site looking out to sea.

The facilities are OK - with the showers being a little erratic.

The pitches are fairly close to one another.

Staff were helpful.

The local pub - Craignure Inn - does good meals including a very nice breakfast

Would say that it was at the pricier end in terms of value.

This site is ideally situated right next to the ferry terminal at Craignure. Within walking distance was the local Spar shop, a pub, café and a very good charity shop (worth a visit).

There were lovely sunsets over the sea but we were a bit disappointed with the lack of wildlife from the previous reviews of this site. It was also very busy when we were there and we would've preferred something a bit more secluded but that's only our opinion. The facilities provided were well more than you would usually expect and included a tent with TV, log burning stove and freezer, microwave and kettle for communal use. We did site and catch up on the news on TV one evening.

Toilets & showers clean and friendly staff.

Nothing to fault it as although it was busy it was in fact the Scottish school holidays.

Location: Lovely location with stunning views of the sea and mainland, only a few mins drive from ferry terminal.

Pitches: Spacious and all have views with separate area for tents. (we got lucky and got a pitch at the front overlooking the sea and beach)

Facilities: Excellent and very clean, handy drying tents, separate dish washing facilities (mainly housed in nice eco friendly structures). Even has a small games room which is handy if wet weather.

Comments: Owners very friendly and helpful and even though it was heavy rain/wind when we arrived still took the time to explain the site. No shop on site but village only 5-10 min walk with nice pubs, cafe's etc. And Spa shop.

All in all a great site, lovely location and very peaceful.
