We have just spent a lovely week at this site. It certainly is close to Kirkby Lonsdale! Only a short walk and you are in a village with lots of places to eat and drink.
There are plenty of walks around the site.
The facilities are ok, very spacious wet rooms with toilet, shower and hand basin, I personally didn't really like the glass panel in the doors but it didn't bother my other half.
There is a good play area for the children and this is surrounded by the static vans. The site is well maintained with a shop that sells basic items.

Just returned from a few days at this lovely campsite. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly showing us where all the facilities were.
The pitches have ample space for awnings and a car and the site is very well looked after. EHU Water and TV Aerial points are on each pitch.
The shower/toilets are huge and very clean there are 5 or 6 rooms with a shower, washbasin and toilet in each which feels much more private - this layout was the best yet.
Lovely peaceful site we never experienced any noise.
The lovely walk into Kirby Lonsdale took about 10/15 minutes on a nice quiet lane - no traffic apart from when passing Devils Bridge where bikers meet, mostly at weekends.
Kirby Lonsdale is a lovely town with nice shops, tea rooms and pubs/restaurants. We ate at the Snooty Fox which was a nice pub meal, Platos which was excellent and The Sun Inn which was also very good.
To sum it up Woodclose Caravan Park is in a prime location to visit so many lovely places and is exceptionally well looked after. We will definitely be returning as often as possible.

Not a lot to say really, apart from this is a site I can highly recommend. If your into camping this site has something for everyone, touring 'vans, static's, wigwams & tents.
The site it's self is well laid out, clean and well maintained, the showers ( with ample hot water 24/7), toilets, laundry and pot wash areas are modern and kept spotlessly clean, to the front of the shower block, is the reception desk and site shop, where the staff are friendly and helpful
There is ample space for kids to play and in the centre of the site is a medium sized picnic / kids play area with benches, tables and kids climbing frames etc.
Wi-fi is available on site but isn't free( £6 for 48hrs), but no worries with tv reception, for those that want it, as each pitch has it's own aerial socket to plug you into the sites system, also as well as having electric hook up each pitch has it's own water tap too
A 10 - 15 minute walk away is the market town of kirkby lonsdale, here you'll find dog friendly pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, an excellent chip shop, even a 'proper' sweet shop as well as some fantastic veiws of the surrounding area
A short car ride away is lake windermere and all the pleasures of the steam cruisers up and down the lake, again I would recommend taking one of these cruise's and call into Bowness or Ambleside.
The only minor draw back is that there is no 'dedicated' dog walk but it really is only an very minor niggle as there are a couple of public bridle paths just outside the site gates
This site is definitely on our 'will' return to list

Just spent two nights during the half term in a Wigwam at Woodclose. The site is mainly statics and lodges, plus a touring field, however tucked away to one side of the site is an area with seven wooden wigwams, plus four tent pitches.
The wigwam area is sufficiently secluded not to feel like you are on a large site, and there are fields and woods to one side, and we could hear owls hooting in the night. The Wigwams (and I assume tents) have their own modern toilet block which is key accessed, and consists of separate cubicles each with a toilet, sink, hand dryer and shaving point. These are modern and very nice for a campsite! You can borrow a firepit to have a fire outside your wigwam, but I don't think you're allowed one anywhere else on site.
In the centre of the site is the reception, well stocked shop, laundry, pot wash and main shower and toilet block. The showers are in individual shower rooms which are code accessed.
There is a play area in front of the shop with a new looking climbing frame and slide, and a table tennis table (which seeing as it was blowing a gale when we arrived seemed a little optimistic!). There didn't seem to be anywhere for ball games though.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the site was very tidy and well kept, especially as it was the last week of their season when we were there.
There are several walks direct from the site, including a short stroll down to Devil's Bridge.
There were no brave soles in tents while we were there, and the tent area looked quite boggy.
All in all, a well looked after site, with good facilities. For us though, the large number of static vans detracted a little from the feel of the site.

Just returned home from a lovely weekend at Woodclose. Access is fine to the site and a lovely reception awaits you. The lady behind reception cannot do enough, always a has a smile and works incredibly hard.
The site is very well looked after and is the ideal retreat location.
We got pitch 3 which was fully serviced inc water, grey waste and tv point.
The showers are well appointed and each cubicle has a wc, hand basin as well as a shower. There is a laundry and a pot wash area. Plenty of hot water too.
The shower block is closed between 10-30pm and 7-30am, but you are warned in advance.
The shop is well stocked, you can order a paper and opens from 8-30am till 5pm.
It’s a short walk into Kirkby Lonsdale over the river bridge and the scenery is stunning.
We ate at the Snooty Fox as they allowed our little dog in. Other pubs were busy and allowed dogs in as well.
Another box ticked and yes we will return.

Site is mixture of touring pitches, seasonal pitches, static units and hireable ‘wigwams’ (wooden cabins). Hardstanding pitches are fully serviced with EHU, water, TV and waste offering very good value for money.
Ideal base for touring the area and site is only 10/15 minutes walk from town centre. Kirkby Lonsdale has good shops and plenty of eateries.
Highly recommend the local bakers that offers full breakfast by open fire in morning and tea and cakes in the afternoon. Devils Bridge, magnet for weekend motorbikers going to ‘the famous’ butty bar for bacon sandwiches is only 5 minutes from site.
Lovely walks and bike rides down quiet county lanes direct from site. Central shop (well stocked) / reception and facilities block with laundry, wash up, and toilets/showers.
Shower / toilet rooms, not toilet / shower block, which is very good but could be problem during busy periods, as they are limited in numbers relating to size of touring pitches on this site.
WiFi available on site from ‘Club WiFi’ – but 48 hour access for £ 6. 00 is 2 days from logging on and is not 48 hours use. Overall this is a good site and great location for exploring the area.
