Sitting in my van on my last night of what has been a lovely week at this ccc.

The site is well kept & the wardens are very friendly & helpful. The facilities are spotless

Walked into Devizes a few times along the towpath & spotted kingfisher. The tea room is worth a visit.

The bus stops close to the site & it's worth purchasing a return ticket as it works out 2 cheaper than two singles. Lots to do in town. Went on a canal trip which was very enjoyable & the museum was fantastic.

The three magpies pub is good but gets very busy so would recommend that you book a table if you want food. Did not get to do all the things I wanted so will defo come back again. Also met a group today called the Phoenix camping club for people who camp on their own think this may be the way forward as it's more fun when you have company

Had a wonderful 4 nights here the staff were very helpful showed you to your pitch, the grounds were emaculant toilets were keept clean at all times. Small shop for some essentials and ice cream. The play area looked safe and well kept. You could tell by the way the staff were that it was more than just a job.

We love this site and in our opinion it's The Best C&CC site.

Easy, friendly check in with a smile! We were offered a choice of pitches by one of the happy wardens who we followed on his bike. We chose a secluded hardstanding pitch within easy reach of everything on site and were very happy there for 3 nights.

The site it immaculate, the wardens obviously work very hard. There's one central toilet/shower block which was clean at all times and the showers were the best we'd had all week (powerful!). The shop/reception sells odd essentials and you can pre-order daily newspapers.

It's a great area for walking and biking with the canal towpath just outside the site. We biked to Bradford-on-Avon one day (9 miles each way) and to Devizes twice (4 miles each way) with a detour to Melksham one of the days. Caen Hill Locks are stunning and well worth a visit as is the tearoom at the top of the locks (great toasted sarnies!). The Three Magpies, the pub just outside the campsite, is good too but gets very busy. We preferred the Barge Inn at Seend a short (approx 1 mile) walk from the site along the towpath, where you can sit outside and watch the barges coming, going and mooring up. Beer/cider very expensive in both pubs (7. 70 for 2 pints!) but the food in the Barge Inn is fantastic. Well worth the walk.

This was our favourite site of our entire trip and we'd love to go back again soon.

Wow! What a wonderful site! We only stayed here the one night but cannot wait to go back already.

The wardens are so friendly and the site is immaculate. The site was busy for our stay but facilities were spotless.

The location is great for whatever you want to do in the area - be it a gentle stroll along the towpath, or a day trip to Bath.

We are so pleased we found this gem.

Now we have our new folding camper, we will be back very soon!

We have stayed at this site three times now over the past few years and I have to say that while our first impressions were very favourable - hence the return trips - on this occasion we found that the lack of investment in the shower blocks means that actually the site is falling behind. The shower cubicles in particular are quite frankly grim and desperately need re-tiling and grouting. The same applies to both ladies and gents facilities.

They have invested in the playground since our last visit - although the previous playground was perfectly adequate for our little one, he did enjoy this new one too. Not sure it was the best place to spend the money.

We do like the location but if we are going to have to use our own facilities anyway we may as well save some money and stay at a CL or next door at the Three Magpies pub which has a camping field.

I think this is our last trip to Devizes C&CC site, we will give it a miss until we hear of renovations taking place on the facilities.

The two of us visited early June and received a friendly welcome from the club's enthusiastic wardens and their helpers.

Benchmark for us is the cleanliness of the toilet block and in this regard we were not disappointed. Ok they would benefit from an update but they're perfectly acceptable.

Went to the Three Magpies for an evening meal and found the food distinctly average. The topping on my wife's lasagne could have been used to resole her shoes!

Other reviewers tell of the easy canal side walk into Devizes. It's a two hour walk there, amble round the town for a couple of hours then take the two hour slog back. Not my idea of 'easy!'

We took the bus.
