Well what can I say about Court farm, what a brilliant site, we had stayed there last year for a week, we really wanted to return for longer this time so booked for two weeks. The owners Bill & Simon and the rest of the family are very helpful and welcoming nothing was to much trouble. The toilet and shower blocks kept very clean, any time day or night, always hot water and never had to wait. The washing up area most of the time was clean (few parents sent there children to wash up and they did not clean up after themselves). The use of the fridge and freezer is a great idea. The washing machine and dryer comes in useful for longer stays, I used the washing machine once (did have to clean it out before hand someone has washed some clothes that had sick on and left it all in the bottom). There is a fishing pond on site. Children had plenty of room to play in centre of the field safely. The noise from the children (not much) was quiet from 10. 30pm. Wifi is available for a small donating to a charity. The site is very peaceful with beautiful views, loved watching the buzzards flying over in the mornings and tea times, watching the night sky is amazing, there is also a observatory club which you can pay to join for the night. The local pub 'The Queen head' is about 20 minute walk but well worth it for the local cider and fantastic food (a cheesecake to die for). There is a local co-op about 20 minute walk reasonable prices well stocked. Very local for trips to Truro, St Austell & Newquay, also about an hours drive from St Ives and the famous Lands End. Thank you for a great holiday hope to see you next year.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at the beginning of August. 3 kids aged between 10 and 3 and a dog. This site lived up to the reviews on here. We had a great view and a flat pitch even for a big tent. The pitches are round the edges so although the 2 fields slope slightly the pitches are nice and flat. Lots of open space for the kids to play and amazing countryside views. Great base point to do Cornwall from with the surfing beaches of Watergate bay and fistral only about a 20 min drive away. The toilet facilities are clean and warm and I never had to queue to shower, toilet or wash up. Simon and Bill were really helpful and the site is very well kept and clean and for those who like a spot of fishing the pond is a lovely spot. Locally we only used the coop which is well stocked and open the usual long hours. I would definitely go again, but it is not for those wanting on site entertainment other than great views and stars.

Just back from an 8 night stay at this lovely tranquil campsite.

We are a family of 4 (2 boys age 13 and 10) with a small dog and this site suited us perfectly. Clean washing facilities and never had to queue even though it was peak season. Showers always warm.

We were pitched in the uppermost far corner from the toilet block with the hedge and road behind us. This did mean a decent walk to the facilities but afforded us lovely views over the valley. The road is very quiet and apart from the odd vehicle is nothing to be concerned about and the site is silent at night.

Had very heavy rain one night but site seemed very well drained and no problems the next day.

The layout of the site with the pitches around the edge works very well and keeps it feeling uncrowded and creates a perfect area for ball games etc.

With no lighting in the field the stars were lovely at night (torches advised).

St Stephen has a couple of small supermarkets and the first night we tried the Chinese takeaway as we had pitched late. It was perfectly edible and the boys enjoyed it.

Queens head pub in village serves decent pub grub (my rump steak was best I've had for a long time) and is dog friendly.

We used this site as a base for touring both north and south coasts and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.

If you are looking for a good value peaceful site and you are not concerned about play areas, clubhouses etc then this site would come highly recommended.

My second visit to this site and I will be back many more times. Lots of open space, never feels crowded. Very clean toilets and showers (free hot water too). Fishing pond is lovely even for non anglers. The whole site has lovely views across the valley.

Only 4miles from St Austell and it's amenities. And handy for Gorgeous Fowey, Gorran Haven, Charlestown and Mevagissey. Heligan and Eden project close too. 30 mins from Perranporth on the other coast if you fancy a bit of surfing.

Thank you Simon and Bill.

What a fab place, good location for sightseeing, toilets clean, hot free showers, indoor hot dishwashing facilities, plenty of freezer space for your goodies, bill the owner was terrific came round every morning to empty the bins and make sure everything was fine, fantastic views from all pitches a great site one of the best we have been on, and we have been on a few. The local pub was very welcoming and the shop nearby is open till ten every night. But the best thing for me wss the fishing lake permit is included in the price its only small but packed with loads of great fish. Will definetely go back again.

Really lovely tranquil basic campsite ideally situated for visiting both South and North Cornwall. Pitch was nice and even no stones and grass kept short. We were in the second lower field and although further from shower/toilet block had a much prettier view of hills and wind turbine ( which was surprisingly quiet)

The owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and gave us good advice about route out of Cornwall on our homeward journey to avoid the inevitable traffic jams.

All the pitches were full most of the time during our stay but it didn't feel crowded at all. The pitches are around the periphery of the fields leaving a central area for children to play in. Toilet/shower block and washing up facilities were kept clean. Lots of free hot water only had to queue for few minutes at busy times. Free use of freezer and fridge on site too.

They have an Observatory on site and a visiting astronomer who gives lectures for a small fee, but we didn't make use of this as cloudy on the nights he came.

Nearest shop is a little Coop in St Stephens but there is a very large Asda in St Austell.

Lovely pub in Polgooth 'Polgooth Inn' excellent menu, large portions and very reasonably priced but book as popular.

Visited Charlestown - little harbour village with tallships, small beach lovely for a paddle, and great kiosk selling amazing icecreams near carpark. Lost Gardens of Heligan was lovely day out my children (12, 10 and 6) enjoyed more than Eden Project which nonetheless we enjoyed but was very crowded. If you visit Lost Gardens of Heligan pick up a voucher for 25% off the Eden Project. St Michaels Mount (National trust) is about 50 minutes drive from the campsite but beware approach up to the castle very steep and uneven if you have anybody elderly with you, a fact they don't advertise until you get off the boat. Children thought it was magical when the tide went out exposing the causeway back to land. Check tide times before you go.

All in all a great week away and wouldn't hesitate to visit this campsite again or recommend to friends
