What a wonderful site.

We have just had 3 lovely nights here (apart from the dogs barking in the early hours as another poster has mentioned).

The site is a bit on the small side and I can see that this would be quite cramped if it were full but we had a nice level pitch and there was only 3 other caravans - the tent area was very busy, but everyone seemed to have enough space.

The hardstanding pitches were classed as service pitches but only because they had a tap on them. I did not think this justified the extra money but each to their own.

On arrival - the owner made us feel very welcome, he showed us to our pitch that he had reserved for us but let us change pitch as the site was not full. He told us about the facilities which were very clean and basic - there was plenty of hot water for showers and plenty of toilet roll. The washing up area is a sink outside the toilet block which only has cold water so we used our own facilities in the van.

The pub is very old and was like stepping into someones lounge. Prices were reasonable and food looked lovely and seemed reasonably priced. We would probably eat there next time.

Bridgnorth is only 3 miles away and a lovely town. It has a good market on a Saturday and has a good selection of shops.

Ironbridge, Ludlow and Much Wenlock are all within a short drive away so there is plenty to see and do.

We will be definitely returning to this site - hopefully in the next couple of months.

First trip out in the just bought motor home for my wife and I.

Chose this location from UKCampsite.co.uk (excellent site) as it was fairly close to home and situated behind a pub.

Arrived unannounced but was met immediately by site owner and given a guided tour. Service was very friendly and welcoming. As it was mid week we had the site almost to ourselves, however as to be expected we were told that the site gets very busy on Bank Holidays. Pub also has a number of guestrooms making it ideal for non camping friends to visit.

The site and amenities were all spotless and in good working order.

The pub itself is very old and full of character with reasonably priced food being freshly cooked and of excellent quality.

The area is very good for walking and cycling (albeit hilly) with lots of wonderful places to visit.

We will be visiting again and plan to recommend to friends.

Stayed 3 nights for bank holiday weekend in our caravan, although owner was informed prior to arrival that it was a twin axle (and could see for himself when we arrived), he decided to put us in the field. It was a very tight squeeze to get in the site and nearly took the side of the caravan out! It took 7 of us to 'delicately' man handle the caravan out of the drive. Not pleasant so if you have a large caravan don't go on the field.

The site although small is nice and clean and the pitches relatively level with both grass and hardstanding available and no extra charges for an awning is always welcome. The food in the pub was good, however 2 members of our party were overcharged by £100 each but this was reimbursed as soon as they were made aware.

Toilet facilities were very clean and modern however only 1 toilet each for Men/ladies and disabled and also 1 shower each. Although these were clean on arrival they very quickly went downhill with the disabled toilet blocked and open sewerage outside and there was never enough toilet paper so please take your own.

There is either kennels or a dog breeder close to and the dogs were very noisy first thing in the morning, started at about 5 a. M. So not very good if you are a light sleeper. It didn't bother us too much as we are early risers.

All in all we had a pleasant stay, Bridgnorth is a lovely place to visit with their leaning tower, Severn Valley Railway was a great place to spend a day and Halfway House Inn a great location. We would stay again but not in the field and we would ensure that we had enough toilet paper.

This is a small reasonably well kept site behind a country pub.

The wardens are very friendly.

When quite the facilities are adequate but 1 toilet per gender isn't enough when it is busy and cleanliness could also be improved.

Set in a delightful rural location it is only about 5 minutes drive from Bridgnorth and close to other Shropshire landmarks.

This site is ideal for stopovers or short midweek breaks and reasonably priced.

Small friendly site, we arrived later than expected and thought we had missed food in the pub as it was after 9pm. The owner was great, said we could choose the food, set up the van and then eat. Great food with a pint of cider, just what we needed after a pig of a journey.

Toilet block clean, only one shower but it was usually available and hot. First trip out with new caravan, site was brilliant own water and ehu only £20 on hardstanding. If we come back to Bridgnorth will stay here again

Chose this site as I wanted to visit Bridgnorth without the drive which was easily walked to using the public footpath across the fields in about 25 mins.

As previously mentioned the site is attached to a pub which doesn't open till 5 pm, though that was explained on arrival. Thought the pub slightly unusual being no bar but a serving hatch and for me too many tables for eating with too few for a quiet drink, preferred to drink outside in the garden anyway as I wasn't dining.

Site itself was ok, quite friendly, a little on the small side.

On arrival there was no toilet paper but as soon as the cleaner arrived that was remedied and there were plentiful supply's afterwards.

The one shower was good but could have done with a soap dish. Heard the dogs once or twice but didn't bother me.

Nice couple of pints of local real ales in the pub. Paid £20/night for one on a hardstanding pitch with ehu.
