Spent a 6 night stay here. Absolutely perfect stay. Site more than adequate size. Single toilet and shower facility which was enough. So peaceful will definitely visit again, haven't stopped raving to my friends about it. I am a single person and had my two dogs with me and felt completely safe. As soon as I arrived Adrienne made me feel welcome. Camping paddock directly behind farm next to horse field. The horses were wonderful to watch galloping around. Also Alpacas at front of farm which were delightful. I walked into the very quaint village (about 20mins), you just have to see the cinema! Also a shop that sold sweets from jars! There is a small Tesco open til 11pm and plenty of restaurants and pubs. I thoroughly recommend this site.

We found this to be a good, clean and interesting site. The site is a good sized field, there were 4 caravans and 1 motorhome on site during our visit, and there was plenty of room.
The toilet and shower are single units, but both were very clean with all sorts of cleaners, bleaches and hand washes available.
I believe the owners have put a lot of time and effort into making this a more than adequate site.
The village is about a 15 minute walk away, or a 3 minute drive. There were ample eateries, pubs, shops etc.
There is a pleasant walk along the river bank,
All in all, a very good site in a quite nice area, with plenty to do, and also a very relaxing place if that is your thing.
Excellent, and well recommended.

Quiet Caravan Club CL tucked away in a largish paddock at the rear of the farm. However route to camping field is clearly signed through the farm. Single toilet and single shower can be found a short walk away across the yard. Nothing special but clean and more than adequate.
There is electric hookup.
The CL is apparently very busy. The weekend we were there the 5 pitches were always taken.
Horses in the field next door kept coming to say hello. There are also llamas and alpacas.
Good walking in the area. We walked into Burnham and back along the sea wall, very enjoyable.
Only one downside, the number of mossies and other biting things that come out after dark. If you are going to sit outside with friends then serious measures need to be taken if you don't want to end up being dinner.
All in all very nice. We will return.

Very pleasant and peaceful site, clean facilities, lovely walks, has shops just a short drive away with all you need to make your stay a good one. The horses are still in the field directly adjoining the camping field which I found just wonderful, they all were galloping about the field one morning which was a fantastic sight indeed. It's a dog friendly camp, I took 6 little dogs along and they were welcome, all in all a nice site and one I would go back to for sure.

5/6/04 Very pleasant stay on a very nice site. The people are friendly, home made cakes if required, clean toilet and shower. There were lovely horses in the field just by camping field and Llama's nearby, but i never got to see them. Will go back soon for another weekend break.

may 2004 This pleasent site is tucked away on a farm 10 mins walk from the Estuary. The site has a single toilet and shower and is of a resonable standard.
The site is located 20 mins walk from the village of Burnaham On Crouch which has a number of pubs and local ONESTOP shop open till 23:00 every night.
We would certainly use the site again when visiting the daughter at APU Chelmsford.
