I added a review of this place a while ago saying I cant recommend it too much, as it was, at the time the best campsite that I had and have still been to. The thing is, Ive been again and it is under new managment(I think).
Nothing is the same. I think the P.C brigade has been round as the hay bales that used to be as high as the roof are now about 6foot. My kids who used to beg me to take them back said it is now quite boring. If 2 or more kids get on the trampoline the owner comes out and complains.
I remember the guy that used to run it saying heres the key to the barn, lock up when your kids have finished playing. Exceptionally polite man. Yes the toilet wasnt the cleanest and it could have done with a shower room but money couldnt buy the total joy on my kids faces.
I dont blame the new people, I'm just glad that I spend some time there when it was without a doubt, one of the best. I cant say that as it is now and that is such a pity.

Absolutely dreadful 2 ladies loos that were really dirty, 1 disabled loo again really dirty., NO SHOWERS £18.00 for 4 people per night Not even a hook in the loo or near sink to put towel for a wash. Had to camp on a really bad slope, really windy with no shelter. The park is only open from 11 and 'park' means 2 swings and an old trampoline.

With the unseasonal warm weather we thought we would get the tent out early this year and try a different site. Unfortunately we weren't alone. Our first choice at Gordale Scar was booked out so we tried this one. It is not in as good a location for walking as the other sites in Malham as there is about half a mile of road to walk along before reaching the path to Malham Cove. We had a brilliant evening walk up to the top anyway. The pubs were also full on our return so it was a one pan supper back at the tent. Our 2 year old enjoyed the ride on tractors and animals in the barn, but the site itself was too sloping and exposed. The latter proved to be particularly unfortunate as there was a heavy frost that night despite the warm weather. Basic but clean facilities but no showers.

We have just got back from a weekend at this site. After reading the reviews we'd thought we'd give it a try but it did not live up to expectations. We went for 2 nights and on the first night the site wasn't that busy but you could tell on the 2nd night they just tried to pack as many tents in as they could which resulted in it being quite noisy as everyone was so close together. We were given a very friendly welcome when we arrived but unfortunately the sight isn't that good at all. There are very limited flat pitches, the rest of them are sloped. When we went to pitch the tent, we needed to remove rubbish from around our area and lamb droppings which wasn't a very nice thing to do. The facilities are very basic, there is still only 1 toilet for the gents and 2 for the ladies but they are very dirty and unhygenic, there are no showers either. The ceiling is absolutely covered in cobwebs and the floor is filthy as well. There was also no cold water in the ladies but the hot was too hot to wash your hands in, especially for children. Malham is a lovely village but there is nothing around for miles except for a couple of pubs down the road and a shop which we never saw open so you either have to stay on the site or drive for 40 mins to Skipton. The owners of the site also come round and check on you 4 times a day, which although it is nice for them to do it, it can feel quite intrusive.

Just got back from an excellent weekend at Malham farm Park. The site is well worth a stay. Great for the kids as they have a Farm, which lucky for us, had 1 week old baby lambs which the friendly Farm Supervisor picked up to let my 2 & 3 year olds stroke. Also in the Farm is an area for playing in hay bails, battery and pedal operated tractors, sand pit and an area for seating. Outside there is a large netted Trampoline and some swings. The site offes some flat campin, but if you dont get there early you will be on a hill. Fantastic views surround and the Village is only a short walk away. The Buck Inn provided excellent food. Despite the miserable weather on Sunday, we had a lovely time. Here are some goods and bads so you know what to expect. Good Points, Friendly owner/organisers Strict on noise at night Kids friendly. Some good pitches Scenery Pub Can buy beef and free range eggs Bad Points When it's windy - it's very windy ! No fires allowed (not even in Fire Bins) Not enough toilets (Men 1 trap, 1 urinal) No showers Getting up the hill with Trailer was fun. Although the bads sound a bit grim, I can assure you that this is a an excellent site that I would visit again.

Have just got back from a lovely relaxing weekend spent at Malham Farm Campsite. The owner gave us a friendly welcome. The Campsite is in idyllic location with views of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. The Camp field has flat and sloping pitches and is plenty big enough so you can be in amongst it or away on your own. The kids loved the animals, playbarn and trampoline. The toilets are adequate - still no showers here! - but if you want basic camping then you will love this site! Will definitely be coming back here and have already began recommending it to our camping friends.
