What a great find! Spent 5 nights here WEF 19/9 & had amazing weather! The site is in a great location - right on the fantastic beach. The camping field without EHU is at the end of the road through the statics & caravans. If you wanted an EHU a pitch is allocated to you within this area.

Great, well drained, level pitches with fantastic views. You could have a campfire on the pebbly part of the beach judging by the fire rings - we didn't but used a BBQ.

There's a fantastic fish shop at Dowies in Whitehills about a mile away, a good chippy though we didn't try it on this occasion & the pub is good too with a lovely beer garden. Have a look in the art gallery/workshop too as it has some interesting items for sale.

The cost for a pitch was £12 a night with a £10 refundable deposit on the facilities key. The shower/toilet block were spotless at all times. The pressure in the showers was a bit poor but they were hot & free.

The nearest ATM is in Banff - none in Whitehills.

All in all a great site in a great location - we'll be back!

Have only just discovered this campsite & what a find it was! We have now had 3 visits here over the summer & each & everyone has been amazing.

We camped here with electric hook up with our 3 children's (5months, 2 & 9 year old), they absolutely love it here. We got a pitch close to the shop & these pitches were a good size. The beach is quite literally on your doorstep, very clean & it's huge! There is a brilliant park for the kids to enjoy just as you come into the site.

The couple that run the site are very friendly & helpful & not forgetting their wee doggie Skye who my son would take for a wee walk around the site. There is a small shop which stock your basics along with some toys & beach stuff, Ice lollies & cold drinks. All prices are very reasonable.

There are 2 main toilet & shower blocks with ample amount of showers & toilets, never had to wait to get into a shower even on 1 of our visits site was full & still never a queue. My only gripe about it is the sand, there is an warm outside shower to wash off the sand before going into the toilet block but sadly not everyone uses it. On our last visit there was notices up to ask people to use outdoor shower & no wetsuits allowed in showers. Hopefully people will adhere to this & will resolve the sand issue! Toilets are kept clean & tidy.

There is an outside washing up area with 2 sinks down by 2nd toilet block. Also on site there is a laundry with washing machines, tumble dryers & iron. A nice wee touch is there are washing lines throughout the site for everyone to use.

Loads of things to do around area, lovely walks & parks. We walked along the coastal path to the next wee village called Whitehills. Huge park here for kids & chip shop close by so we ate in the park. There is a Tesco & Coop about a mile from the site to get all your supplies!

We found this site a lot cheaper than many others we have been to. For a pitch with electric in June was £17 a night then in high season is £20.

Can't wait to go back here, one of our favourite sites to date.

Very friendly on arrival.

Nice clean site with safe access to the lovely sandy beach. Plus a great park at the other end so a must for kids

Toilets and shower were fine and in good clean working order.

Pitches are a bit small as allot of modem tents have extensions.

The on site shop was a real boost and well priced.

The cost for pitch was good for a four man tent it was only £12.

Down side the toilets are what feels miles away especially in the middle of the night and as a result everyone including the ladies are peeing behind the tents and the smell was strong with the heat.

Lovely site, clean, well cared for and fantastic location. Little shop is great, and the park and beach are amazing if you have kids. Showers are good and very clean. Will be back time, and time again. Great walks around the site also. The wardens were very helpful and friendly, and we had a lovely few days. The pitches were dry and level, and very good value for money. Had a great weekend there.

Second time at this site with my wife and dog. Use it when playing golf with friends who live in the area. Weather was sunny though cold. The site had just been sold by Aberdeenshire Council and the new warden was very helpful and friendly. The toilet block allocated to us at the top of the site was very modern, clean, hot water plentiful. Facility for chemical waste disposal. The site was about half full, probably due to the recent bad weather. Lovely location with views of the beach and sea. Quite a few children around due to Easter holidays who seemed to enjoy the play park and beach. Good walks in each direction. I will be back in July.

The campsite is located about a mile west of Banff, off the main road. The site runs along the side of the award winning sandy beach.

The tent part of the site is at the far end of the campsite away from the main entrance. Grass was short and flat. Roads were tarmac and in good condition.

The site has 2 facility blocks with the usual facilities, entry by coded locks. Facility blocks were warm inside and clean. Showers were decent and free.

As the campsite is on the waterfront (nothing between tent and beach) itĎs rather noisy at night with the waves, but itís a constant noise and didnít cause an issue.

One of the main costal footpaths seems to pass right through the campsite which made me feel slightly uneasy about leaving stuff in my tent when not there. This was noticed by a few other campers also.

Campsite is about half an hours walk along the coastal path from Banff where thereís a few pubs, Co-op, Tecoís etc. Nearest pub is hotel about a 10 min walk away.

Very chilled out and relaxing campsite with excellent access to a great beach. Will visit again (and have done so before).
