There was someone there to welcome us in the farm who told us where we had to pitch up, the site was quiet so we had quite a good choice. Very peaceful site, although the sheep bleated on a bit. Facilities were good and kept clean one shower, 3 toilets for the women, and I assume the same for the men. We visited the little village and went to a few of the pubs there, for a friendly drink. The only negative thing about this site which is not their fault, was the midges. This is our second year of camping and were new to this. My husband got bit approx 20 times on one leg and myself on my head. We were wearing midgey bracelets which obviously did not work, might try the spray the next time! This is a lovely small site and maybe we might re-visit but the midgeys might put us off.

Great little site, very nice owners who were always willing to help and explain the running of the farm.

Bellingham has a Cooperative shop, lovely Bakers with 3 pubs, we used the Cheviot a couple of times and the locals were friendly with fine real ales. You can use the Riverdale Hotels small pool, it's a short walk away 4 Adults 2 for kids.

You empty the waste into the main sewer (no Elsan)

And it is 50p for 6mins in the shower.

Well worth a visit, we will be calling there again.

A very enjoyable if rather wet weekend. Bellingham is a lovely friendly place to spend a weekend. Site owners very friendly and advised us to go to the Cheviot hotel. A very warm welcome from bar staff and locals plus a range of cracking real ales and scrumpy. We tried the restaurant out on Saturday and would recommend the fish and chips as they were delicious. Site was clean and less than 200m to village centre

We will definitely be back

When I first arrived on this site I thought no way am I going to enjoy this, how wrong was I, as soon as I got used to the smell of the farm animals I loved it. Nice and quiet and peaceful. Wasn't too struck on the toilets/showers but you get what you pay for. The local pubs are average but are dog friendly and a hop and a skip from the site. Hope the owners improve the toilets & showers in the future to make it a first class site.

This is my new favourite campsite. We stayed there this weekend and it was ace. Yes it's small, yes the toilets / shower / washup area are small and yes it is just 2 fields, but quite frankly that's just how it should be. We and 3 other families went for 2 nights and we loved it. 2 minutes walk into the village. Super little supermarket and local bakery. The walk to the waterfall really is a must.

The farmer was really helpful - he didn't get around to collecting our money until 24 hours after we had arrived.

We used the electricity and paid 17 per night for a family of 4.

If you're looking to get away for the weekend, park the car up and relax then head to Bellingham.

(but don't forget the midgy spray!)

This is the second time we have stayed on this site and another enjoyable experience it was. The site itself is a working farm so expect a few animals making the odd noise. Can get a bit waterlogged if it rains but not a real issue. Farmer and family very friendly and helpful. 18 per night which is a tad dear as you pay 50p for your shower so these are not included. The location is spot on, just behind the high street with some cracking little doggy friendly pubs. Do have a meal in the Cheviot hotel (spot on) and do have a walk up the little steam opposite the main gate up to the waterfall. Spot on
