This tiered site is well laid out and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are good. There is no dog walk but if you take your dogs down the road to the beach (5 mins) there is a very long beach they can run about on. We walked into Berwick and the three bridges and the ramparts are well worth seeing. Other than that Berwick was a dreary little town, although it was a grey damp day so that might have affected our opinion. As motorhomers who prefer to walk every where we found the site fairly limited but if you have a car with you there would be a lot more to explore. All in all the site itself is lovely. It is next to the East Coast line but we didn't find the trains bothered us at all.

Lovely campsite with fabulous view over Tweedmouth. Facilities good, but be aware that pitching can be awkward because of fabulous location. We noticed some tourers needed blocks to level and our pitch was tight - motor mover enabled us to face caravan to view and fit on properly. Worth every minute of hassle! Location is great for touring around - we visited Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick, Scottish Borders, Lindisfarne, etc. I was sad about Berwick itself: a beautiful town that has fallen on hard times and is full of empty shops and dilapidated buildings. The walk around the ramparts is fantastic as is the music and beer in 'The Barrels'. The Curfew micro pub is worth a visit too.

Nice site, well looked after and friendly staff.

Some pitches are tight for longer 'vans and the railway is noticeable though didn't disturb us in the night.

Spectacular view from the site right across the bay. An ever changing picture.

Easy access to supermarkets etc with Asda and M&S being an easy walk from the site.

Will return. Just wish the A1 was dual carriageway all the way south which would have cut the travel time for us.

Got a large pitch with a sea view but on a slope, nothing the vans chock couldn't cope with. Excellent facilities. Site was full when we visited but quiet at night. Walk into Berwick took about half an hour, Berwick is great for the history and buildings but the town itself is a let down, poor shops and feels run down. Got the train to Edinburgh one day, only takes 40 minutes and is well worth it. Enjoyed our time there but wouldn't go back due to Berwick itself being a disappointment.

The site is situated in Spittal, South of the River Tweed and 1 miles from Berwick centre. Downside is the site runs parallel to the main rail route with regular trains and freight service. Upside is (some) of the pitches provide fantastic views of Berwick, the harbour, three bridges and River Tweed.

The site has the usual very high standard of toilet/facilities and very friendly and helpful wardens. Spittal beach is only a 5 minute walk from the site and is ideal for dog walking.

Berwick itself is steeped in history and the walk along the elevated fortified ramparts with spectacular views is a must, plus the Lowry trail and visit to the town hall which was used as a jail and lighthouse? The town itself has seen better days and is now a mix of charity shops and for sale signs.

An M&S simply food and Asda store are found within 1 mile of the site, Aldi and Tesco in Berwick. The Berwick Shellfish Co supplies fish, crab, lobster and is only mile away, plus the Northern Edge Coffee roasters mile away at Spittal.

Overall mixed feeling about the site and area, but it is definitely worth a visit and a three day stay.

Spent s night here on a pre-Christmas break.

Situated on the hillside overlooking the sea and the busy town of Berwick, the site makes a good base for exploring North Northumberland and Southern Scotland, or as a stopover when travelling on the A1.

As expected with CC sites, the facilities were all wll maintained and efficient. Lovely, helpful and friendly wardens.

As it was low season, it was a bargain at 14 per night. ,
