La Vallee Du Paradis is located near the small sea-front town of Agay, along a quiet country road in front of the Esterel. We were lucky enough to secure a great tent pitch right in front of the river that sides the camping, under plenty of shade. The selling point of this place is its swimming pool: a huge adventure-style pool with several waterfalls, two types of bubbles areas, bridges, exotic plants and much more, including a fenced shallow-waters area for the smaller ones, with water toys. Agay is practically at walking distance, and has a beach of its own. However, we didn't like that particular type of beach (pebbles) so we rode to various places such as St Maxime, St Raphael, St Tropez etc. Which are all rather close provided you avoid rush hours, otherwise you'll be in for fancy sea-side traffic jams.
The camping has its own animation, a nice restaurant and a small shop. Bathrooms and showers are ok, French-standard. The camping is frequented by all sorts of people, several families, young couples, seniors, teenagers. Staff is quite nice although they refused to speak English while on site: they would reply in French to our English questions; such behavior was rather bizarre because the same staff speaks excellent English at the phone, but French can be a little bizarre at times so we weren't really bothered, just amused :) all in all it was a great stop, we used it as our base camp for touring around the Var / Aix / Provence regions.
