As there are no facilities provided, there is no charge for motorhomes parking in the pub car park. We introduced ourselves to the landlady on arrival and were delighted to find a table had been reserved for us for our meal on our first night.
The menu was varied and the food nicely cooked and presented. The pub itself is a 16th century inn and is very impressive.
Despite being very close to the A35, the traffic noise was not excessive and we slept well both nights of our stay.
There are bus stops very close to the pub, so you can just park and ride and explore this beautiful part of the country, also a very handy local shop just across the road.
