I have recently had another stay at Mill Farm Quorn the second in 3 years as I live in New Zealand, after my first stay there I had to visit this site again as our stay there was fantastic and after looking forward to this visit I can honestly say this was the best holiday ever!

Just like the first time we were greeted and treated like one of the family all the time we were there, (6 Weeks).

I have read a comment on here that it is not suitable for children, well I whole heartedly refute this claim as in the 6 weeks we were there, there was numerous families with children staying and the kids absolutely loved it!

All the animals are tame, mainly birds and they have a really tame peacock called Percy that fascinated all who visited.

All of my relations that visited us there all commented how lovely it was and how much they would love to stay there as well.

The owner Mark (Smoke) was always cooking different every day and when we walked past the house he always invited us to try what he had made, (all of it was delicious), and many a time he cooked us full dinners including the best curry we have ever tasted and even a full sunday dinner the week before we left.

It brought tears to my eyes when it was time to leave as it felt like I was leaving family and knew that I would be missing them, hopefully we will return soon.

I highly recommend a stay here!

Small, secluded, peaceful, very basic site. Great for a relaxing mini break. Lovely walks, and village not far away. Owners very welcoming & helpful. If it is peace & quiet you are looking for, and you're not bothered about the lack of showers etc this is the place for you. Thanks for a happy stay, will be back

Spent two nights on this site - Have to drive through farmyard to small site overlooking fields at rear and woodland stream down below where there is a lovely walk. We loved it there but I can see its not everybodies cup of tea. Toilet was clean but in a rickety shed. Therefore difficult to rate facilities - its location is what sells it and the friendliness of the people who run it Its only a short walk into Quorn itself which was quaint and plenty of nice places to eat and drink. Steam railway only a short distance from site. Made some new friends Will defo be returning

Stayed here for a few days to visit my brother. It was a little difficult to find especially as there were some road closures locally. The entrance is a track which goes down between two houses one of which is a new build and the other much earlier more in keeping with other properties in the road. There is a sign on the left brickpillar, not easy to spot though coming from one direction. About a quarter of a mile down track there is a gate into the farm yard and then a gate the other end to the camping field. Lt is quite a steep slope but on slabs so no problem to climb it with an outfit that is well balanced. This is a little gem of a site, you are only half a mile or so from town centre but it is so peaceful you could be right out in the country. We were made to feel welcome here, Mark and his wife who live on site make sure you want for nothing. Yes the toilet was ok apart from a few cobwebs, and where it is, a little more than a shed. It could be improved but the old saying, you get what you pay for comes to mind. I used my caravan facilities anyway so that was fine.

Access through a farm yard is quite tight, and bit of a slope to get to camping field. Electric hook ups and water, and toilet in a wooden shed is basic but clean if you want to use it. Owners friendly and site is as expected for a CL. Ideal for visiting relatives in Quorn, hope to return April 2016

We wondered when we arrived if we had the correct site as owner wasn't particularly welcoming. The hill is very steep and definitely not for large caravans which we weren't advised on booking. Shed were the toilet and sink are was very basic, door is rotten, full of cob webs and unclean. We didn't use it as have our own but wouldn't have liked to use it if needed to. Lovely views and the open camp fire area is nice. But its quite noisy as you can hear the trains and low flying aircraft during the night. Very narrow site and pitches quite small. Ok for a stop over but it wasn't for us. Left early and wouldn't use again. Not particularly safe for young children either with machinery and emu type birds that can be aggressive and kids have to remain within the field but its the only exit and entrance. Which felt cluttered. Not a well positioned site for families

Management response: Hi, the trains you can hear are steam trains, our site is close to the Great Central Railway, (5 min walk). We are 20 miles from any airport, so aeroplanes are still high up IF they pass over

Our toilet block is very basic, but is CLEAN

There is a mild slope up to the site, we can get 20ft plus in with no problem at all. In the winter like all grass its slippery but I do help to move people around,

We are very laid back like the other comments say, we will do most things for you if we can.

We have chickens, geese and rheas, tall long legged birds, the Rheas are behind a 6ft fence that is nowhere near the camp site, they do get mardy around breading time,

I do have a tractor and 1 other car in the yard you come through to get to the site, pretty easy I think

The camp site is over 75 yards long and around 10 yards wide at the most. We have a open fire pit and I give you FREE wood to use on it.

Any body wants to and visit please ring 1st, we get really busy in the summer.

Thanks Mill Farm.
