We stayed at Garden Paradiso for 2 weeks in August with our two daughters, aged 7 and 4. The site is popular with Italian, German and Dutch families, many of whom set up very impressive pitches! We found there were not many British families at all.

The girls loved the fact that the site was directly on a lovely sandy beach (with lots of shells), and they also loved (surprisingly) the toilet block. It was the best toilet block I have ever seen on a campsite, with a separate area for children, with kiddie sized toilets and showers that they could use themselves.

The pools were good. It was difficult to find a sunbed, but that's not unusual. The kids pool was at a shallow level, so even our 4 year old could play safely in the water. It had a couple of small slides, which kept the kids happy, and there were 2 deeper pools aswell. I would say that investing in slides for older kids would make the pool complex even better, but the massive waterpark, Aqualandia, was a 5 minute drive away for those who needed more thrilling water experiences!

The shops on the site were excellent and provided everything you would need. The restaurants, take away and bar area were also very good, with superb evening entertainment. In fact, some nights were like going to see a West End musical!

Every day at lunchtime between 1 and 3pm there was 'quiet time' where shops, pool, sports, etc. Were shut to allow people time to relax. We soon got into the swing of this routine, although you had to remember that no vehicles could either enter or leave the site during this time. The site was also fairly strict about noise after 11-11:30ish each evening.

The kids club was very well run, and the site offered activities such as table tennis, bouncy castle, mini golf, tennis, aquaerobics, crafts, and 2 play parks.

The only criticism I would have is that there didn't appear to be any washing machines. I had to wash everything by hand, twice!, and this seemed strange on such a big campsite.

Overall, we loved this site, and will definitely return. It is easy to spend entire days without leaving the site at all, which we did several times, and that is unlike us as I have a husband who loves sightseeing!

The site was well positioned for visits to Lido di Jesolo, Venice, and various supermarkets.

Big and busy site usual Italian rules around lunchtime which I found quite relaxing. Site has great pool complex and is right on beach. Reasonable shop on site and supermarkets nearby.

20 minutes drive takes you to the ferry for Venice, well worth a visit or two.

Lots of mossies on this site, so many that a truck drives around twice a week and sprays insecticide up into the trees.

Good entertainment program especially in the evening.

Well worth a stay but I wouldn't say this site is particularly better than any of the others along this stretch of coast, they are all good. Having said that, I particularly liked this one and will return one day.
